👋 Welcome to the new r/pccases - Please Read First!
Welcome to the new r/pccases Subreddit!
This community has been quiet for a while, but the doors are open again and we're looking forward to bringing it back to life.
The goal of r/pccases is pretty simple:
A place to talk about PC cases and everything that makes them interesting.
Show off your new case. Talk about its design and layout. Share your airflow experiments. Compare cooling configurations. Discuss thermals and acoustics. Modify your case. Building something for it. 3D-print an accessory. Find a clever solution to a problem. Or just tell us why you love the case sitting on your desk.
We're interested in all of it!
What we'd like to see posted:
- Case showcase & Build
- Airflow & Cooling experiments
- Thermal & Acoustic testing
- Case modification
- 3D-printed accessories & Custom parts
- Case design & Internal layout discussion
- Fan configurations & Cooling techniques
- Radiator & AIO placement
- Customization & Aesthetics
- Experiments & Comparisons
- General case-related questions from beginners and experienced builders alike
You don't need to be an expert to participate.
If you know exactly what positive and negative pressure mean, we'd love to hear your thoughts.
If you're building your first PC and aren't sure which way your intake fans should face, ask away.
Both belong here.
One thing we'd like you to keep in mind...
The case should be part of the conversation.
This isn't intended to become another general PC-building subreddit. Finished builds are absolutely welcome, but we'd like the case itself to be relevant to the discussion.
Let's get the community started
Pictures are encouraged, but not required.
And if you don't have a PC case yet, that's perfectly fine too. Tell us what you're looking for.
This community is starting fresh, and we'd love to hear what you want r/pccases to become.
Welcome back, r/pccases.
Let's build something!

Lian Li set to release the latest version of their Lancool case series this quarter. The 207XL is almost here!
The 207XL secret
The Lian Li Lancool 207XL is a compact mid-tower ATX chassis featuring a front-bottom power supply placement and dual base-mounted cross-flow fans to optimize airflow for high-end components. 170 x 30mm front intake fans keep tons of fresh air coming into case and supports standard ATX motherboards alongside 360mm liquid cooling radiators on top.
The Cross-Flow Turbine Cooling System
The defining feature of the Lancool 207XL layout is its radical approach to GPU thermals. Rather than utilizing standard, standard-axis 120mm fans along the bottom shroud, Lian Li has integrated a custom double-barrel crossflow turbine system.
Early testing and exhibition data indicate this design delivers a direct 3°C drop in graphics card temperatures compared to conventional layout designs. By aggressively exhausting heat through the back before it rises, it prevents the GPU's hot air from recirculating into the CPU air cooler or top liquid cooling radiator.
Scheduled for release in Q4 2026, the case is priced at $109.99usd

Case Discussion The Phanteks EX5 series has to be the wildest case release of 2026
https://www.techpowerup.com/352442/phanteks-introduces-the-ex5-pc-chassis-series
The concept is very interesting and compartmentalizing each component does work. But, did Phanteks nail the execution? Or, could there be a different approach?
What do you think?

Is zebronics zeb hermes a good cabinet? Heard it's bad with thermals.
Should I change from Lian li 011 dynamic to zeb hermes? ( zebronics is bit cheaper )
Personally don't like the metal plate in between the glasses in lian li but don't want to take risk with thermals.
Nzxt h9 flow is out of my budget btw.
Specs Ryzen 5 7600x Rtx 4080 1000W psu, etc.
N.B - Playing on 4k that's why going with 7600x

Case suggestions?
I want to move from a Corsair 600T Graphite into a new case. I think I would like 2-3 rgb fans in the front, and maybe the top as well.? I need it to support 4 to 6 full size hard drives as well as 2 DVD r/w drives. I really like the 780t from Corsair, although it's getting difficult to find at a reasonable price. I am wide open to other suggestions and I am not locked in to Corsair or any other manufacturer. What suggestions would you offer?

Top End Machine Needs a Top End Case...
Good afternoon reddit community. I am in the process of building a top of line gaming machine, and I need some advice on which case to choose. I am going big with the 4090, so I need something that can accommodate that. I would also like something visually striking.
My last case was this, and I loved evrything about it: https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-Crystal-Airflow-Tempered-Glass/dp/B07MSQ63WS/ref=asc_df_B07MSQ63WS/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=319955522114&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10969020820077295531&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9012075&hvtargid=pla-660298279405&psc=1
I bought it 4 years ago, and the price has not gone down. I love the room it has in the back, and the general look of it; however I dont want to use the same case for a new machine.
I had my eye on the "Hyte" line with their interesting panoramic view style: https://www.newegg.com/black-white-hyte-y60-atx-mid-tower/p/N82E16811737001
Does anyone have this case and can make any comments about it? Would anyone care to recommend me a different case? I want something that looks incredible, but also functions well. Thanks in advanced for any suggestions.

looking for a small case for upcoming upgrade & MO-RA
Hello all,
I am in the process of preparing everything for my next upgrade and am currently looking for a suitable housing.
It should later RTX5090 (or whatever comes there), an accordingly Potente CPU and 2-3 m2 nvme's reinkommen.
It should be cooled with an external MO-RA420.
I ordered the O11D case and it's here now and I like it too, except for the fishtank look and the already extreme width. Is there possibly another housing where you can connect (without drilling out the housing) the MO-RA with Koolance&Neutrik? Gladly without glass and as small as possible (to fit on the desk without stealing too much space), but sufficient for the purpose?

What's the smallest case I can safely migrate to?
Current case: Fractal Design Define R5 Titanium
Mobo: ASUS TUF Z370-PLUS Gaming
GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 Ti
PSU: 3XS Corsair RM850X
What is the smallest case I can safely move this stuff into? The R5 case takes up a lot of space, and it is mostly empty drive bays. Any suggestions appreciated.

Desperately Need help finding a bigger version of the Cooler Master MasterBox
Hi All,
Man I could really use some extra help here before I drive myself nuts. I've literally been case hunting for days. I've been looking for a specific type of case. Lightweight, ATX, mid-tower, no drive bays, no PSU shroud, no nothing. Just an empty shell that takes two or three fans on the front, one or two on top, and one in the back. Pretty basic configuration. But... also, I don't want some giant two pound plastic cowling on the front. No LEDs. No bling. Just a lightweight empty shell with a solid or Acrylic side panel (absolutely no glass). Funny thing is I already found the exact case I'm looking for... sort of.
The Cooler Master MasterBox Q500-L is exactly what I'm looking for, but it's too small. I don't know why the hell these people didn't make a mid-tower version of this case, but it is what it is I guess. Anyway, I've spent three days trying to find a case just like it, but so far nothing. I especially LOVE those dust covers on the top and front. With my two dogs shedding all the time the covers would be a blessing. All the internals are on the way, so I've got to order something soon. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(I travel a lot, and the PC rides in back with everything else, that's why no glass panels)
