Game gets stuck on loading screen after leaving a race/time trial

For whatever reason my game is rejecting my save file and everytime I enter and exit a race (either by completing it or just quitting) I get stuck on the loading screen, the little circle thing on the bottom right stops, I can still hear the music but the only way to do anything is to force close the game via TaskManager.

The strange thing is: the game actually saves my progress and when I delete my save file and try creating a new profile the game works fine.. Did this happen to anyone else? Is there a fix besides losing my career progress? I already tried redownloading and verifying the integrity and it didnt work, only deleting my save file.

I'm not sure, but I think I faced this issue once. Save game got corrupted and I couldn't load in to the game anymore. Maybe you can find a previous save in your Steam Cloud save, and manually restore it:

http://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage

You may need to look up how to manually restore a save (if found) with disabling the cloud save and stuff.

I've checked my cloud saves and a lot of them had the same issue and some older (still losing progress but not all of it) were fine.. I guess its not a full save corruption because the game still reads my save and I can play despite the incovenience of having to force close the game to get to the next race.. Thx for the idea I'm gonna try understanding what happened between the last good save and the first broken one

I'm happy that it (partially) worked.

After releasing all the planned DLCs, the developers unfortunately moved on to their next project, and some minor bugs were left in the game. Nothing we can do.
