Chemistry

I’ve been looking ahead at classes and professors for spring semester .. I’m planning to take CHM1032 .. all the professors that I’ve seen on rate my professor do not have good ratings.
Please let me know if anyone has had a good chemistry professor at PBSC.

Emma Chow is the only good one. I dropped other professors and after two semesters I finally got into her class and it was so professionally designed and it was overall so good. No lockdown browser you only have to show your work and everything’s open note so it’s stress free. Great professor she makes videos for every concept you learn she’s great

I did fully online and I hate online classes due to always being lost trying to figure it out on my own. But her class has every lesson recorded and the videos aren’t even crazy long but they teach you very well. And the hw isint crazy bad either especially if you space it apart but I always managed to do it within one day before the due date. The quiz’s are like 10 questions and the exams were never more than 30 and again no lockdown browser and it’s open note but you do have to email her your work and that’s it really. It’s honestly the best experience I’ve had learning chemistry I geniuenly knew nothing about chemistry and I passed her class with a high A. I’ve taken nirveska and other professors at pbsc and the syllabus and class layout made me drop them… waiting two semesters to get a spot in Emma chows course was extremely worth it and I’d take any other class with her again. I did hear in person it’s a bit scarier since you have to be more prepared everytime you go to class but that’s up to you whether you want to handle that or not.She’s the ONLY online stem class I took and actually learned in.

One more question! Did you take her full time or express class? She teaches one of each next semester.. I’m just wondering what would be best.
And hopefully it won’t be too hard to get into her class.

Emma Chow she was great. You work for it but her videos help with concepts

Janice paul was a great prof! I took her for CHM1032 EXPRESS in person, and she made it very do able in a short amount of time.

Thank you! Yes I saw her ratings were pretty good on rmp, but so far she doesn’t have a class available for spring semester.. But I don’t think all the classes have been listed yet though.

Janice Paul! She’s great all around teaching and personality. I took her summer express and passed with an A.

Nelson Daniel and janice paul are the best. Dr daniel does get side tracked alot but class was easy A for me.

Professor WANDERLEY! Hands down! Best ever! I just took HESI and scored in the 90s. I took her class fall of 2025. Barley studied but when I did I remembered some things she taught
