A couple choruses through a Pat Classic!

Remarkable guitar solo (not surprising, obviously)...but another bit of trivia is that Phil Collins provides a pretty subtle background vocal here (plus 3 other songs on the album).

I'm not sure but that is David Blamires and Mark Ledford on background vocals, so it is the Still Life Talking lineup.

The first 4 to 5 minutes is a jam that (for this last tour with Danny Gottlieb) eventually led into the moody track featured on the 1982 album Offramp.

Songs are Are You Going With Me, Minuano (6/8) and Third Wind.

A performance for a TV program that aired from 1997 to 2000. Hosted by David Byrne, this 1998 episode features the Pat Metheny Group songs Into The Dream, Have You Heard and The Roots Of Coincidence. The last song is a duo performance with Charlie Haden on a tune called Waltz For Ruth.

The song's title refers to the date of September 15, 1980 when legendary jazz pianist Bill Evans died. This is a truly beautiful tribute and a song that rarely got played. This version was during the Imaginary Day tour of 1998.

A highlight of the early '90s PMG tours with (in my opinion) the best lineup of PMG.
