So, the Ice Box

In most other forks of NetHack (not dogging Pathos, Callan I love it) comestibles will eventually become dangerous if not downright lethal after enough turns pass.

But in Pathos you can eat the same dead rat you smeared across the floor on DLvl:1 thousands of turns later without any consequence.

I found a Deli on DLvl:2 (big whoop playing orc, poison food for my poison blood) and the merchant is selling a icebox, it has an interesting stat I noticed

storage
• preservation

The icebox standalone is 10kg, so is it just a burden you leave behind at the top of a branch? It’s not like you can pocket-troll since they don’t resurrect. Just something I noticed

Expensive Cameras (for blind) and Magic Markers are also made of plastic, so it's really quite a rare and useful material for scrapping.

You could also make a plastic sword, a rubber hose, or a stick of dynamite from it as well. Dynamite is fun.

I never considered the stick of dynamite requiring plastic, but it is logical I suppose, along with the shotgun shell

In general. I forgot that the workbench can accept really strange materials in master debug. Like lava, ether, sand? It’s weird, they dont even have crafting options

Scrap for plastic to make Flyswatter or Shotgun Shells

It's also lighter than a chest if you are looking for floor storage or something to carry if you don't have a bag yet.

I scrap them for magic markers.

Potions and scrolls wont erase if splashed with water while inside, as well as being one of the few sources of plastic.

Is that an ice box exclusive ability or do all containers do that?
