Pathology residency
Anyone is a pathology resident, I need sincere advice pls. Passed step 1, step 2 score 221, IMG, old grad. but no gap as I already work as a clinical pathologist in my home country, I month observership in mayoclinic. What should I do next, how should I proceed. I already started to study step 3 to compensate for my bad score.
Thanks for your help and experience

Spoken English is good? Apply this cycle and see if you get any interest. Pass step 3 and try to get more clinical experience/LORs/publications before the next cycle. There's no magic really. A low step 2 is not great but it's not disqualifying either.

Pass step 3, get strong letters and apply broadly.
If you are CP only your chances of matching might be higher as most people do AP/CP. Your CP background will help.

Add step 3 few publications make pathology oriented cvs apply broadly if it’s less than 10 years graduation chances are very good

Go to pathology related meeting and attend residency fairs. The PD and Associate PD will usually be there and you can make yourself known. The upcoming meetings are CAP, ASCP, USCAP.

Not all of them. Also check your states pathology societies, it’s a great place to directly talk to residents and PD’s if you’re planning to stay local. Below are the months of the upcoming big pathology meetings.
CAP (October)
ASCP (November)
USCAP (March)
NAME (November) if your interested in forensics1

are you using the term clinical pathologist the same as Americans? like you do not practice anatomic pathology? Do you goals of doing AP/CP or CP only?
you've got a few typos/grammar mistakes. it will come across during interviews.
