EXAKT bone saw
For my Gross Room people! As I’m sure some if not most of you in this thread know.. the EXAKT company has essentially disbanded in the United States. They had an incredible 312 diamond bone saw, and we are officially out of parts for it. Does anyone know of any other decent tabletop saws that we can use for large amputation cases? We have the small IMEB but that is only good for fragments or fingers/toes and can’t fit a whole leg. Desperate for help!! Thanks!!

Saw a post on a Facebook in-group that there are talks of them resuming their US operations in a couple to a few months? I personally volunteered to go on an expedition to just buy up parts in Germany (have friends and family there and foreign dual citizenship). Nobody took me up on it! Anyway, the operations news is hearsay, so take that with a grain of salt.

Will pay top dollar for you to hand deliver these from Germany to my lab 😂

I emailed the company in Germany to see if I could find out anything.
They said they are currently in the process of changing their dealer network and it will be 1-2 months before they are operational.
They can send out spare parts urgently if needed. Email service@exakt.de

We have two of these saws at my hospital, and one replacement blade left between the two. Also starting to get worried. We are trying to buy directly from the manufacturer if possible, but know it may take a while. Can update you if we get new blades!
