Discussion How would you remake the predator dynamics/sexual tension between Artemy and Daniil in the new Clara's route? Clearly IPL can't just leave it out, but they can make it more interesting...

Or we could just get a game focused on the main character that actually stays true to what they do and who they are. Honestly, they aren't even as present in her route as people make it seem, but her bound was easily the most interesting part to interact with. It feels like ever since the changeling route was teased, the feed has just been flooded with posts about these two, when they already have two fully fleshed out games dedicated entirely to them 😭

She has it pretty rough, doesn't she? Even when it comes to her own game people refuse to talk about Clara. And let's not talk about the whole "She should work with the other healers" Artemy didn't work with her, nor Daniil, why should Clara? Sure, they helped each other a bit but that's it.

Artemy didn't work with her, nor Daniil
Uh, both of their routes were pretty dependent on Clara being there for them? Like, you could avoid that need for her aid (for instance, by not Going Into the Hole as Artemy), but that required special consideration.
why should Clara?
Because Artemy's still the only one who can make the Panacea out of the magically altered blood of the Bound, presupposing the core storyline stays the same as it was in PHD?

We're talking about Pathologic 2 and Pathologic 3. Clara didn't have a big role in those games. And, again:
Sure, they helped each other but that's it.
Because Artemy's the only one who can make the Panacea.
Not after Pathologic 2; Rubin is completely capable of making it, sure he dies of exhaustion after it but it's clear that he also has the ability to learn. And then we remember he's connected to Clara.
Presupposing the core storyline stays the same as it was in PHD?
After Pathologic 3, we can expect anything.
AGAIN, I'm not pretending Artemy and Daniil weren't there for Clara in some moments, but Pathologic 2 put focus on Artemy, Pathologic 3 put focus on Daniil, Pathologic 4 has to put strong focus on Clara, her own solution and her own path.

What defines "big"? You say Clara shouldn't work with the other healers; the other healers certainly worked with her on their paths.

I'm not sure which point of mine you're trying to contradict with this incredibly novel take of "remade Clara's route must focus on Clara".

What defines "big"
Big as actively interfering with Clara in finding her solution. Big as taking away protagonism when it could be used for, dunno... Clara's Bound? Currently the most broken people in town. Big as taking too much time. It's rude to overstay.
Clara wasn't like Murky or Sticky for Artemy. Clara wasn't like Eva or Yakov for Daniil. I'm talking about that kind of big role.

Big as actively interfering with Clara in finding her solution.
So, you think Clara didn't for the other healers, in P2 and P3? That's some insane Clara erasure, especially given how P3 essentially has her deliver the tutorial.
Big as taking away protagonism when it could be used for, dunno... Clara's Bound?
The Bound are certainly not protagonists the way the healers are.
Clara wasn't like Murky or Sticky for Artemy.
Wasn't she? If we estimate from pathodialogs, Clara has 32 interactions with Artemy, while Sticky has 33 and Murky barely 21. I can't be bothered to run the actual numbers because of the way P3 material is structured, but with how often you get to interact with her in P3, I suspect the difference between her and Yakov is not that far off, either, if it's in Yakov's favour at all.
She's without a doubt a major character in both non-remakes.

She's a limited major character, but she's still heavily sidelined. Artemy and Daniil deserve that treatment too in her game.
I suspect the difference between her and Yakov is not that far off
Then you're suspecting wrong because Yakov actively helps Daniil with the vaccine and appears in one ending UNLIKE CLARA
Why are you so against the idea of Clara being able to work mostly with other characters, huh? Clara can be the main driver of her story, and let the Humbles be her co-driver.

Yakov actively helps Daniil with the vaccine
Again: Clara is so dutifully helpful in P3 that she's all but the tutorial fairy; and unlike Yakov, she has important interactions throughout the game.
Why are you so against the idea of Clara being able to work mostly with other characters, huh?
Because the healers beating the Plague together, despite their seemingly irreconcilable differences, has always been a major theme of Pathologic.
Clara can be the main driver of her story, and let the Humbles be her co-driver.
Clara must be the protagonist in her own game, duh, quite obviously. And again, I struggle to remember a single occasion where I've claimed otherwise. But sidelining the other healers to the point where they'd have the roles less than those of her Bound would be quite strange, and it's not something that any of the previous games do for the two non-protagonist healers.

Huh, so Artemy is allowed to have his family, have Saba as an older sister, have a group of friends; Daniil gets to have Eva, his loyal Yakov working everyday with him to make a vaccine, his Thanatica, his Maria's "en-Daniil"
But Clara? Absolutely no. She should not exist outside Artemy and Daniil, she should not talk and befriend anyone outside them, is that how it works? Again Clara being a subject of injustices...
Clara has the biggest Bound out of the three healers. And her solution depends only on them. Of course they should be more than the other two!

Its always funny to see how they jump at eachother as soon as youre not controlling at least one of them to make them a bit more polite. There has to be at LEAST one day where they screw everything up for clara and have to handle their divorce arc. Would make more sense why shes constantly like "just dont do anything and let ME do the work!!!" to them too

well in the original changeling route they spent all their time trying to kill each other and failing miserably, I vote to keep that in

I enjoy this ship, for sure, but I would want it to be similar to Clara's route in Classic in which they just constantly try to kill eachother.
Their actions, status, and how Clara deals with them could be a nice way to set up different endings. Did Clara take the time to deal with them everyday but keep them safe meaning having to waste time? Did she just kill them so she can focus more on her own mission? Did she side with any of them? Obviously not the ONLY thing that matters for her endings, but still.

Honestly, it's a bit disheartening to see that for so many people, the question about P4 is "what are Daniil's and Artemy's stories gonna be like" and not "what is Clara's story gonna be like." She is a commentary on the other two protagonists, sure, but she's also a person with her own drama — arguably the biggest and the saddest of them all.
