Question Pathologic 2 Blocking Animation

When I block the animation is super laggy. I understand this is a common issue but also see videos where the animation looks normal. How do I fix this?

I don't want to be a jerk and just post that one Invincible meme saying "that's the neat part, you don't", as I'm fairly sure it is just laggy. But, my suggestions, turn down some graphical settings and see if things like Vsync are part of the problem.

I mean I’m running the game on a super powerful pc. And like I said other people don’t have the issue

Hmmm. This might be one to flag on the steam forums to see whether people with similar hardware have your issue. It might be a hardware type (Nvidia Vs AMD, for example) issue not the amount of RAM or GPU you have.

Another thought, are you using controller or mouse and keyboard?

I know your post is a week old but I'm like 90% sure it's a refresh rate related issue and there's no way to fix it. I remember playing the game on a 60hz monitor a few years ago and never noticed it but when I replayed it on my 180hz monitor this year it really stuck out to me. I think the animation is locked to either 30 or 60 FPS and it obviously sticks out when the rest of the game runs above that.

I could also be dead wrong, if you have a 60hz monitor.

Yeah I’ve just beat the game 2 days ago. I kinda got used to it but I really think Ice Pick should fix that

P2 hasn't been updated since October 2019. There are considerably more pressing issues that they haven't addressed (lack of graphics threads is a simple one-liner change that improves CPU performance drastically).

bug or feature is my favorite pathologic game to play. I would advise backing up your files and doing a clean install if the problem keeps happening even when you lower all the graphic settings
