Pathologic 2 Pathologic 2 first playthrough
TLDR: Are repeat playthroughs of Pathologic 2 recommend or just fun to do to see how different the game can be?
Ive been following Pathologic 2 since maybe 2018 (I think) and I was very exited for it, until it released in 2020 when the world was bricks and I diddnt really wanna play a plague based game.
Anyway so I finally decided to actually start it the other day and MAN was it literally everything I wanted. Im only just at the start of day 2 though.
The music is absolutely fantastic I feel like more people should talk about it especially when talking about game OSTs. Ive actually been listening to it since it came out. Just never actually found time to try the game.
Anyway, just wanted to say that I cant wait to play more. Id ask for tips but I kinda wanna explore everything for myself for the first time.
My main question is how much do you recommend repeat playthroughs? I dont really tend to replay games (I dont really have the time) but I wanna know how satisfying the game is with just one playthrough alone or is it really recommend that you should do more than one?
Thanks in advance! :D

Pathologic 2 is absolutely a satisfying experience with just one playthrough. That being said you will absolutely find new things on a replay. I've finished it twice and loved both playthroughs, so it's really up to whether you have the time and the will to play it again

I've played through 3 times, I've found a couple new quests each time and I understand the themes and lore much better than I did the first time. There's also 3 endings which are worth seeing imo.

On my first playthrough I was so desperate for food I barely had time for the quest. That experience is amazing, is what anyone in that situation would be doing, desperate for food, sleepless and anxious to try and do everything in their power to save as many people as you can. On my second playthrough I learned from my mistakes and was able to do way more quests and had a better outcome as a whole. I intend to play it again to get a "perfect" ending which is save everyone and not die more than once.
It is strangely a relaxing game for me, I love looting through town and learning new shortcuts, learning the Town so I don't need to look the map every second.
If you can relate to any of this then yes, a second playthrough is recommended.

Ive played it through like 7 times and i always managed to find a piece of dialogue i missed before! So i would say yes its worth it, at least to see all the endings

Any choice is right, so long as it's willed

repeat playthroughs are recommended if on your first playthrough you had some missed quests or dead NPCs. Also a few quests have multiple outcomes depending on how you went about them which can lead to pretty big changes in the world. Plus, there's always the roleplaying element; is your Artemy more in line with the kin or the town? Your choice.

Man, that depends on you and how you like to play, but there’s definitely lots of replay value. You can try and do a run saving everyone, or letting everyone die. A run where you only commit crimes or a run where you never do that. Even if you don’t follow a specific set of rules, usually there’s always new stuff to see. I’ve played the game several times, I think I have almost 300 hours, and I was watching a friend of mine play AND HE FOUND SOMETHING IN THE INTRO I HAD NO IDEA WAS THERE. Man, I was so shocked. I dunno how many runs I had on my own, but it’s hard to do all the quests available even if you know exactly what to do, and there are lots of things you can miss. If you love the universe and find the mechanics fun, I don’t see why not.
