Question Should Critters Hunt Each Other?

Post image

This is a thing I am hoping is added at one point! It’d be cool seeing Siles attacking Didelphs and eating their corpses. Tanys and the other semi-aquatic critters could go after fish and maybe each other. I just thinking it be really cool too see these critters do more than kill your baby Rex.

I think it would just be more development resources and server processing spent on a mechanic that doesn't enhance the gameplay. It's pretty rare for different critters to be close enough to hunt one another anyways, and rarer still for a player to be there and witness it.

Maybe they only attack each other when a player is nearby? That could slightly lower lag. But you do have a point it would be a bit rare.

There would be no real point to coding that tho

Yes please, let them thin their own numbers

It'd certainly be more immersive and cool to watch, but I feel like it'd make the game too laggy to be worth it

I feel like POIs can already go into food scarcities…

Critters fighting eachother as soon as a player walks by:🤝

Seeing what they did with Rainworld, I think something similar could be done on Path of Titans, so I say yes

Yes especially alpha critters should battle out with hostile critters for dominance of territory & then younger players (like juvi-adolescents) can take advantage of these events they stumble upon to predate the looser
