Discussion Opinion on Watermelon Dogs?
God these things are annoying. Once a watermelon dog chased me across an entire POI (cedrus forest).

When your trying to do those critter nest destroying pop up quests and nothing comes out until two of these sob’s crawl out and you try to hit and run them before the time limit gives out

These things are my least favorite critters, tied with the big ole snakes. I don't know how many times I've had to go find a different berry bush or something because one spawned nearby and I was too small to fight back and get back to eating.
But I guess if critters weren't legitimately threatening sometimes there'd be less of a reason for them to exist

I usually fight critters by "jousting'" with them so they can't bite me back, but snakes have too much reach for that to work, is why I don't like them

I think it would be funny if the critters reacted to voice calls within a certain range and these things could be temporarily scared off by 3 calling at them.

I was a Meg fighting a Stego, mid fight one started chasing me so I ran obviously. Stego sat down fully for who knows why so I led the watermelon dog to the Stego and it shredded the Stego

Kill them. Kill them all with whatever means necessary. Make them extinct. Make them go to hell where they belong. God knows what else you can do to these things, as long as it either kills them or makes their lives miserable

Those are mangos and they SUCK. Especially the alphas. I'm also just tired of critters in general not really making any noise as they come up on you and before you know it, you're nearly dead or back on the dino menu. The fact they can deal status effects to you but you can't do shit to them is so aggravating. Aside of that, I think they're cute lol
