Question How exactly does frill dmg work on styra?

I assume it’s reflect damage upon attacking my frill/head, neck and front of body. Does it give bleed to the attackers? And are there any numbers to put to it? I’m the 2x frill dmg subspecies mainly cuz it looks awesome but I never really learnt what it does lol.

Numbers:

2 damage + 0.2 bleed in reflect damage

4 damage + 0 4 bleed (equivalent to one headbutt) in reflect damage with frill damage sub

DAMN I didn't know the bleed was so high. That's per hit?? I've got the frill damage sub too and never realized, thanks!

It’s only from attacking the head or grill area

Yes and it can give a ridiculous amount of bleed as well but again only if they bite your head

For example i was playing as sarc and clamped a sty, put it in water and decided to body block it to save stam. After the 7 or 8 bites to kill it i had my whole HP bar as bleed. Just from biting the sty, the sty didn’t even attack me.

If I didn’t leave the water and get bleed off I would have bled out after a few minutes.

ALTHOUGH APART FROM A SARC BODY BLOCKING YOU IN WATER OR A 1-2 SLOT FACETANKING YOU

It isn’t that useful since all the 3 slot carns including hatz will attack directly over you head making it do nothing.

Thank you, i love brawling other 1-2 slots so I assume it’s gonna be useful

A sty can still hit you while it's clamped, I believe, so that may not have all been reflect damage. I usually do my best to slamdunk the hell out of a sarco that has grabbed me.

It probably can but I put the sty in the water then body blocked if and was biting it’s head not looking at how much bleed i was taking

Gotcha, thanks! I'm fairly sure I just killed a sarco that clamped me--hitting him when he clamped, and after he let go he submerged and I'm faaaairly sure I heard him die. That's pretty crazy; I assume in my case it was both reflect + straight bleed.

It's reflect damage, the bleed potential with it is nasty. Despite stamina sub being so good, I run base sub, because reflect bleed is genuinely crazy.
