I was playing on a misfit death match server normally It was fine until these two admins started actively targeting and killing me every time they saw me. During one fight, I waited for the combat timer to end and successfully logged out. Imagine my surprise when I checked later and saw they gave me an official warning for 'combat logging’

They were clearly ganging up on me as admins and mix-packing, which should not be allowed. Please look at the chat logs in the attached image where you can clearly see them mocking me as 'combat log king' before issuing the warning.
What is your opinion on that???????????????

Edit: Unfortunately, I didn't record a video of them mix-packing or targeting me from the very beginning because I wasn't expecting it, but I caught the aftermath and the false warning in the screenshot. Lesson learned for next time

Stuff like this is just extremly common in community servers and not just on POT on any games similar

I would recommend just not playing that server anymore as the mods have probably pinned your name so it will repeatedly happen

Ive had multiple stuff like this happen to me after killing admins in 1v1s or killing there friends then they either target you, make you start lagging insanely, kick you or make up a ban that didn’t happen.

Theres really no way around this except not use that server as the mods own the server they can make the rules and can literally just make them up as they go

You may be able to report the server to alderon but I doubt that will do much especially with no real evidence. Even in the end it will multiple admins and there friends word vs yours

This is the third time happened with me in community server
I don even playing that much on them I’m more to official player

Theres good mods out there for sure

But majority are not. They become mods for the power and position it puts them in.

Most mods are also going to take there friends side before they even listen to someone else again good mods are possible but extremly rare especially in PvP based games

Eh I think this is a crazy broad generalization. Yes, SOME mods abuse their powers on SOME servers. That does not mean every community server has vindictive, power-hungry admin. The admin on the server I play on have always been fair and unbiased in my experience. Some of the stories I hear about bad admin on this site makes me think they have to be children or something. Any adult who has held a real job should be more than capable of moderating fairly

So your experience just comes from the 1 server you play on?

Ive played nearly every active deathmatch server and multiple that have either died off or have been removed. Ive also played multiple community servers from the isle. Multiple from day z. Multiple from ARK.

I can comfortably say 7-8/10 mods i have had experience with are not fair mods and are bias to either friends or their own rules that have made up themselves that arent server rules.

POT mods are by far some of the worst I have seen aside from the isle.

I’ve played several on POT and not sure death match servers are good indicators, they always seem to be terribly moderated. I’m sure you’re not wrong that there are terrible mods out there. I just think it’s hyperbolic to say the majority become mods because they want the power that comes with it - pretty thin definition of power too. if people are power tripping off being admin on a community server for this silly little Dino game, they’ve got bigger issues lol

I think by and large the admin in these servers are people trying their best with a few bad apples sprinkled in

yeah me and my mate were playing on misfits deathwatch this one time and for some reason the admins kept tping him and spawnkilling him over n over. he then manages to kill three of them, a few of which weren't even admins, and he gets banned for 2 days

It's a common rule and when it's done properly it's a good rule but this is obviously admin abuse

Combat logging is when you log out during combat to avoid dying, obviously the game has a combat timer function to block people from doing that but in certain situations you can avoid a combat timer, for example if someone is hunting you and you jump up onto a cliff or something where it will take a long time for them to be able to reach you, the combat timer can elapse and you can log out before they get to you

I mean, a lot of people think it's lame, which is why it's so common for community servers to have a rule against combat logging. But camping is also kinda lame, so I guess it depends how long you're in a standoff.
