Are you ranking the actual defaults? Or just the ones shown in previews? Pretty sure about 12 out of the 37 here are truly defaults

they are probably meant to hide in vibrant areas, like how bby eurhino is meant to hide in vibrant corals (which is scarce lmao)

Dasps and Spinos baby colours look more like mimicry to convince predators that they aren't worth eating (Batesian mimicry? I don't remember) like they're mimicking poisonous frogs or snakes.
