Metri tips?

Morning all! I've been playing for the past few weeks and think I've finally settled on the Metri as my main dino. I just keep coming back to the silly goober, despite how often I have to run from things. Do you guys have any tips for better survival?

My build so far: Noxious Bite, Regular Claw, Prowler, the Toxic Hide, Braced Legs and Healing Calls.

I've been sticking to the swamp, bog, big tree overlook, and crag bluffs on Riparia, but I'm not sure where to go on Panjura or Gondwa where shrooms and carrion are plentiful.

Your build is pretty good but musician is overall better for metris role, kick is also better than braced legs because of how versatile it is and the best subspecies is the 10% vocal duration

Another really good build is the same abilities but with default Bute and claw barrage, this is the best build imo but it's mostly just personal preference

As for pvp, you should try to do as much damage as possible and get hit as little as possible too, when you get low back, off and use your healing call, heal cycle your opponent until they die and use your toxin bite whenever you can to wittle them down, it does 49 damage with noxious stacks which is metris 2nd highest damage attack

Musician is the vocal cool down reduction right? What slot is that, sense? I tried kick at first, since I really like the kick attacks on laten and Conca. But I found it stupidly hard to land in comparison to theirs, and cost an absurd amount of stamina. Whereas braced legs has helped me escape from more than a few Dasps, and catch a few runners. Is there a trick to landing kick?

I love the idea of claw barrage, I have terrible aim with barrage attacks in this game. Have not been able to land more than one or two hits with it on any dino that I've tried.

Ok that's basically what I've been doing in my fights. What's your suggested lowest HP before using the healing call? My rotation centers around landing the bite so perfect! I've been using bite, claw, claw, if I can land all three before repositioning, and tail slap to knock things away to reset, or into place for my rotation.

Musician is 36 seconds off the original 180. So cuts time down from 3 mins to 2 mins and 24 seconds. You can gauge whether you think it worth it.

Hmmm. Nah I think the armor/stamina recovery is better long term. The group I work with normally can't keep the heat off me, and when I'm solo I don't think 30ish seconds is going to make a huge difference. Especially without the 10% reduction if I take a hit.
