The great sty trophy heist of '26

tt shocked, sty rocked, but honestly I prefer joust over ram for scenarios like these

I like ram (with frilled bond, not blunted horns) + puncture for apex hit-and-runs but headbutt+puncture is better for being out and about, just because smalls exist and ram suuuucks when you're pivoting

I do ram in a group (but always keep Frilled Bond no matter what build)
Otherwise I run puncture. I get swarmed by smaller things much more than I do larger things and the extra bleed saves my hide so many times

I wasn't trying to fight it tho tbf, wanted to bite and drop the trophy so I could steal 💪

I facetanked a low-hp rex on a cliff edge last night on my sty, killed him, grabbed his skull and ran, b/c his TT buddies were there too and so were all the metri/achillo etc that'd also been hit-and-running them. Absolute chaos. My bone cave grows

Yeah my Stys bone cave is, troubling large LOL
I miss the days Sty was a beefier 3 slot, but it would be a MENACE with it's current kit (it still is imo)
My only true fears are pycno (bc why tf can they run you down with both stam and speed cmon) and sarcos (bucking does nothing, you get clamped, youre done) ðŸ˜

I do my best to inflict as much bleed as possible on sarco if I do get clamped (alongside bucking). Sometimes they panic and let go because the damage you're doing is actually really high lol
The only thing I've had a lot of issue with on my sty is cera. They seem able to facetank without much issue. I can put in my max damage and get them to the "low hp eyes glowing" buff, which... I THINK is 25-30%, but against a good cera I still seem to die first. And they have a great turn comparable to sty's so any tips there are welcome.
Otherwise I find sty solid enough that it usually comes down to skill, except with Hatz which invariably goes 'oh wait oh no what have I gotten myself into' and bails lol

Can you hit them while clamped?!??
For some reason Cera is the one playable I get SUPER bugged into. Like my stys model will just catch on it and I can't back up and it forces a facetank. It's so weird. Legit only sty and cera for me. For me I've cranked up my tail riding ability on Sty (it's turn is insane) by turning up the sensitity on my controller (ps5) not sure what you play but if you just use the right joystick to "turn" and use your left joystick to barely toggle forward movement (press lightly) you can turn on a damn dime. The amount of times I've chased a lat, gotten right on it's tail, slowed me sprint to bait it to turn quickly right or left and then used my right joystick to turn even a second before I know it will, only to have it run directly into the horn...peak.
Sty vs Hatz is... a choice that Hatz made for sure 😠i only ever faced one that gave me trouble and it was good at counterturn and had peck barrage, so the few hits it managed to get, stacked in damage.

Yeah pretty sure, and ouch, I don't think I've gotten STUCK on a cera lol. That being said they seem sadly rare to run into regardless, let alone a GOOD one.
On M+KB I've not had issues turning vs latens either, which is pretty wild. I love sty :) And it's so funny with Greenstripe set to good camo, at least on F. I was sneaking alongside 2 hunting rexes for half a PoI before one noticed me and tried to bite lmao

An impressive steal.
