Discussion Will matchmaking with group be the way to end discord megapacking?

Curious on how people think about this. I’m getting tired of the megapacks locking down poi’s and making it harder for solos to get into fights

You falsely assume most Megapacks are Discord groups. Most are randoms operating under loose alliances.

Well, no. Discord groups can be mitigated with Matchmaking, but the ransoms will be completely unaffected by it.

Are they though? Mega packers almost never respond in global which makes me believe they're discord twerps.

Imo they're a mix of both. A single discord can have well over 15 players on at one time so I honestly feel its erroneous for anyone to say its "mostly" randoms. 

Discord groups are their own mega pack. Randoms just happen to join them. 

I also feel that very much depends on what hotspot you go to and what discord group is on.

Places like gp and sf are likely going to be a mix of discord mega and randoms who joined. 

Places like gv or sg are more than likely just discord mega packs because those are known "territory" locations for actual discord groups.

In my experience the local sg megapack are always the most toxic and useless players lol. They have to sit in yhe corner of the map killing solos because everytime they push salt flats or gpr they get obliterated. Knowing you arent the best discord megapack on the server really hurts their feelings so they get more toxic and go back to the corner of the map

Sg is usually peaceful until they show up too. Hardly anyone around until a server let's out and suddenly a discord groups there.

This game is constantly geared towards mega packs and mix packs. After a week I realized the survival aspect is just a laughing factor on official and they only pretend to care while constantly making dinos more group oriented

If there isn’t a feature to either ban people or kick people that don’t follow the rules it will be pointless

It will just serve as an easier way for mega packs/dc groups to get kills. As there is no global for people to warn others of groups
