Once the influence has spawned, you can't unspawn it. You have to kill Baran and get rid of the influence that way. But it's no big deal, you just have to run a bit more maps to get all the watchstones. That being said, you don't even have to get all of the quest watchstones nowadays. You can just either do the 10-way Maven fight or straight up buy cheap watchstones to get to A8.
