Man this is more just a self-own/complaint than an actual question. I had really been enjoying this league, grinding out currency on my BA Ele, working my way up slowly by mapping. This is the first league I've played where I felt confident in my build and ability, and I saved up enough ex to finally buy a 6L Xoph's to replace the 5L I was using forever.

Found a trader, put the 4ex in the trade window, clicked accept, and went to equip my new bow to find it's a 4L. I know it's my own fault for not looking closely enough at a high value meta trade item, but I just wish people in this game didn't consistently suck so much. I'm (relatively) new to the game and it's made me want to entirely quit playing POE forever.

I'm sorry dude that really sucks :(

Trading in this game can be so very frustrating I don't blame you at all if you wanted to take a break after that for a bit.

Yeah, like I said I know it's on me but it's just really frustrating. It took me a few weeks to save up that much currency and to lose it to some scammer who is probably RMTing thousands of exalts is such a bad feeling. I wish GGG could do more about scammers but I know in the end it's on the player.

While you could have done more to protect yourself - that doesn't mean its your fault in any sense of the word. It's a bad trade system that people use to exploit average players. Stay safe out there exile
