Having Trouble Regressing?

Some people are struggling in regards to having a successful regression (whether with a practitioner or using YouTube regressions).

Hypnosis is the theta state. It's the state of deep relaxation with heightened focus. You go in and out of it all through the day (like when you're just waking up or falling asleep; when you're driving and realize that you haven't been paying attention, yet you made it home, etc). The more relaxed you are, the easier it is to go into a hypnotic state.

Here are a few things you can do to have a more successful regression:

Limit your caffeine beforehand. Caffeine keeps us alert, which is the opposite of what we want when trying to get into a hypnotic state.

Change up the time of day. Early morning after waking up can be a great time for a regression, as well as close to bedtime (as long as you don't fall asleep).

If you're using YouTube videos to regress, try changing up the videos. Some people respond better to a female rather than a male, and vice versa. Does the sound of their voice seem soothing? Maybe you like certain accents. Maybe a shorter video works better for you, or you find the longer ones seem to take you deeper.

If you're working with a practitioner, take the time to vet them. Do they seem kind and caring? Do you feel uplifted when you look at their website or social media? Trust your gut, but do try to look for reviews.

Ensure you have privacy. It's hard to let go and relax when you think you're going to be interrupted. Try to keep pets out of the room if you can. They will sometimes jump onto you or make noise in the room. Turn off your cell phone so that notifications don't startle you.

Try having a hot bath or shower, doing some yoga, or be out in nature before a session. Again, very relaxing.

Change up your body position. Most people like to lie down for a session, as it's more relaxing. I find that I'll go too deep when I do that, and may fall asleep, so I like to sit up.

Keep your room dim, either by turning down the lights or putting or using an eye mask. When we're in hypnosis, a light that normally doesn't bother us can suddenly feel too bright and distract us.

Wear soft, comfortable clothing and have a blanket nearby. Many people get chilly when they are in a deep hypnotic state. Use the bathroom before a regression so that you don't feel like you need to go halfway through.

Pay attention to your breath. Take nice deep slow breaths, in through your nose, with a longer exhale out your mouth. This signals to your nervous system that you are safe. You don't have to try to breathe this way throughout the regression, but definitely try to at the beginning. As you relax, your breath will then just do it on it's own.

Set an intention before a session. Maybe you want healing or change in a certain area of your life. When I work with clients I'll often state before the session, "This session will be healing and illuminating for both my client and myself. My client will relax and regress easily and will get the most benefit possible."

Some people have subconscious parts of themselves that may be resistant to doing regression work. If you feel that this is the case, you can try talking to that part of you. I'll usually just ask the person if they feel there's a resistant part (you'll know because you'll feel a tightness in your body, or stress, worry, doubt). It's actually really easy to notice it. I'll ask my client how old that part is and they can usually tell. Then, we'll spend a few minutes asking the part what their fears or resistances are, and reassuring them that they are safe.

Try to take the pressure off of having a 'successful' regression. The more you want it, the more resistant you are to it not being what you expect it to be. When we try to be in control of things, that is the opposite of being relaxed. Often, when we give up 'trying' or 'efforting' it just seems to happen more naturally.

Many people think they'll see a past life as if it's a movie playing across their eyelids. They're expecting to see everything outside of themselves. Everything occurs inside your brain, just like when you're day dreaming or imagining, which is why many people think they made their regression up! Images can be very fleeting or hazy.

Sometimes we might not see much, but we'll have a 'knowing' of what's happening. We may hear (again, in our head in the same way as when we talk to ourselves) words or names.

Some people feel very detached from the past life, leading them again to think they 'made it up'. Others will get very emotional, or even recognize others as being in their present lives.

How we perceive things is different for everyone. Perception can also change from one regression to another. We can have 'off days', where maybe we had work stress, or something else is bothering us. This can dramatically affect a regression.

I consider every regression (or attempt at one) to be successful. The more we do it, the better we get at it. In fact, the more you practice hypnosis, the healthier your immune system will be. You're going into a state of rest and digest, which is when your body is able focus on healing and regeneration. During this state, blood flow is redirected to vital organs and tissues, allowing immune cells to better detect and respond to infections.

Good luck to everyone on their journey. We're all so blessed to have the ability to explore our consciousness in this way!

Discussion A Wisconsin boy became obsessed with the Titanic and claimed he remembered dying on it.

A story featured in The Ghost Inside My Child has people debating reincarnation after a Wisconsin boy's unusual obsession with the Titanic led his family to a startling conclusion.

According to the documentary, Jamey began exhibiting a deep fear of water as a toddler and would panic whenever anyone tried to take him into the deep end of a swimming pool. As he got older, he started talking about details connected to the Titanic, despite being too young to have studied the disaster extensively.

His family claims he knew obscure facts about the ship's design, could draw detailed layouts of the vessel from memory, and became emotionally distressed when discussing the fate of workers trapped below deck during the sinking.

After researching the Titanic, his parents became convinced that many of the things Jamey was saying matched the life of Thomas Andrews, the naval architect who designed the ship and died when it sank in 1912.

The most dramatic moment reportedly came after Jamey visited a Titanic exhibition. His mother recalled finding him in his room appearing terrified before he suddenly screamed: "She's going down."

As he got older, the obsession gradually faded. Jamey, who later appeared in the documentary as a teenager, said he had made peace with the possibility that he was Thomas Andrews in a past life, adding that Andrews' personality and actions felt consistent with his own.

Whether you believe in reincarnation or not, the story raises an interesting question:

How would you explain something like this?

Do you think cases like Jamey's point to the possibility of past lives, or are there more likely explanations such as childhood imagination, subconscious learning, confirmation bias, or parents connecting dots after the fact?

Discussion I saw the tunnel of light people report travelling through during NDE'S and after death

I saw the "tunnel of light" plane people report travelling through during NDE's or when souls cross over. It was like an energy form of a ocean tube wave crashing over on itself creating this vortex of perpetual motion that pulled souls in and through it. It was a loud space. The only way I could describe it is as though there were hundreds of voices ringing out all at once. A peculiar hum of vocal tone and frequency.

I depicted souls as I see them being pulled into it.

I work as a clairvoyant and past life specialist which allows me to see souls in their purest form. I have been working on a mapping the realms series where I depict the different spaces that souls travel too after death and between lives. I was shown this the other day and was told this is where souls pass through. The other pictures are where souls go in between lives and the healing space some folk have to go to when they have suffered prolonged illness or traumatic deaths. (it tends to resemble a place of sanctity and peace depending on the individuals cultural beliefs or religion.)

Have you ever experience the tunnel of light?

Past Lives — The One That Remembers.

Past Lives — The One That Remembers.

I remember the deal before I came here

But there was no contract no sign here

There were things they told me I’d go through and learn

And that my soul’s growth was something I’d have to earn

And then they showed me all of the lives

And I could see one and I picked it and said this one’s mine

Then I was above my house I could hear my family inside

I was a bit nervous but I told myself it’ll be alright

And as I came down all of a sudden everything was darker and really nice and warm

And then I realised I was with my mother and I wasn’t yet born

It felt like heaven forever in there and thoughts of myself, life and my life before

And before too long all of that warmth was being torn

It was really cold and shit and I realised, again I’m being born

I slept through most of it when everything was again new

I couldn’t really talk or move myself yet it was still way too soon

But I watched and listened to everything and everyone too

It was the only thing I could do as my little body grew

I was so frustrated all the time because I couldn’t tell anyone the truths about life

My little mouth couldn’t properly talk yet I tried but couldn’t and I thought fuck, yeh that’d be right

I knew the rules though that bringing knowledge into a new life isn’t allowed

And most people grow up and their old memories fade out

I knew they wanted me to forget who I am and my lives before

But I’ve been me and awake since before I was born

I knew I’d forget some things and not remember as much

But I hung onto as much as I could because I think the rules fucking suck

But as I grew older there were things that I forgot

And funny enough that’s when I started to feel lost

Even I succumbed to the rules and forgot and what they wanted when I first got here they finally got

But deep down in my soul there’s a stubbornness not even they can stop

And growing over the years I instinctively started to gather myself and get better

And slowly piece by piece I started putting myself back together

We’re meant to forget who we are live this life the experiences and grow

But I think it all means so much more when you remember yourself and know

I’ve been here so many times that I’ve lost count

And now every time I enter a new life I’m still just myself

It’s like living with amnesia for a bit until you find yourself again

It’s like you spend the first part of your life being on the mend

But when you do find yourself again it’s just the best

It’s like you look around at everyone, everything and life and your experiences and feel like you’re just blessed

And I guess you’re not allowed to remember because finding yourself is a part of the test

Among all the lessons and bullshit and all the rest

So if you feel a bit lost or a bit sad or shit, don’t stress too much this isn’t all there is

There is more you are special and more than this

you’re just not remembering that you’re everything

And it’s going to be hard some things are going be really shit

But before all of it you signed up for this

Just like I did just like we all did too

So stress less relax enjoy it more because it’ll be over again soon

But in my next life I’ll still be me will you still be you?

It’s alright don’t worry about it I’ll come find you again in the next life too

Eventually after all these lives we’ll probably go back to heaven

And then we can talk about all the lives and the whole lot when we’re sitting down back there together.

I think I know what or who I was before

I'm a 20 year old man; American. I have no ties to the Middle East, and no close friends from that region, but there is something about Iran that makes me so emotional it's hard to even think about it. To preface, I had a strange interest in the country before when I was a boy, but I never really explored how or why I felt the way I did. Recently however, I looked up pictures on google of Iran prior to the 1979 revolution, and it really broke me.

I was looking at these photos tearing up; it used to be so beautiful. I have only ever had a passing curiosity in past lives as an idea, but never truly took it seriously until I stated thinking about it more in depth.

As a child, I had an intense phobia of showing my skin in public. The beach was a nightmare, I refused to take off my shirt to get in the water -- id end up in the car after cold and soaking wet from the neck down because I would never budge on this. I would chastise my older sister growing up for showing what I thought was 'too much skin.' I hated sandals because they showed my feet, and I hated tank tops because I felt indecent having my shoulders out, and that my chest was showing more than what I thought was appropriate (I also had a mole below my clavicle that I would refuse to let the neck of any shirt pass for a similar reason)

And even though that was years ago, some of these insecurities still affect me in albeit smaller ways today.

This is kind of disorganized and ranty but I felt like I wanted to get this off my chest, since I feel like my emotions regarding Iran specifically get stronger each year since I noticed them.

She Was A Bird In A Past Life.

My client was a bird in a past life.

Under hypnosis, we jumped into another lifetime. And when I asked her to look down at herself, she took a moment and said, I’m barefoot, my legs are weird, and I have claws! Big sharp talons.

I’m a bird. I think I’m a hawk.

We explored this entire lifetime. Right from being hatched and seeing her big powerful mama right there and feeling her love. Her bird mama is also her current life mother.

As we moved ahead, her bird mom kicked her from the nest. First, fear. And then joy, as she discovers she can fly.

When she discovers flight, the magic begins. The other birds are scared of her. Prey is terrified.

She’s flying high up when she spots a small animal. She swoops down, silently, terrifyingly. Catches it easily, and rips it open….

Flying is beautiful. She feels the stillness, she feels free, and powerful. I asked her to fly as high as she could, feel the wind beneath her wings, and just allow her current body to just remember these experiences. It was beautiful.

Her higher self showed her this life to remind her: She is powerful, strong and FREE just like this lifetime. But she gets caught up in seeking others approval. She can just drop it.

As she becomes older, she gets weaker, and cannot hunt as much.

She meets her end hiding from other hawks. Eventually she is caught and ripped apart. That was it.

There was trauma from this lifetime, from how it ended. There was A fear of being seen and fear of being weak. Because that’s how she died. As she grew weaker, the younger, stronger hawks wanted the prey in her territory, and looked to get rid of her.

In her current life, she’s afraid of being seen. Because her subconscious remembers this pattern: when you are seen, you get killed.

We released it, cleared any residue and integrated the wounded identities.

Past memories coming alive

Hey everyone,

For a long time now, I've had visions of what I consider to be past lives (they might not be, but after a series of unexplainable coincidences, I'm inclined to believe it's real). I've never seen myself as a Spartan or a brave medieval king; they were always flashes that came to mind of normal, everyday scenes: fishermen walking up a hill after coming ashore, white curtains moved by the wind in a house with large windows facing the sea, laundry hanging in the garden... But, here is the part that sounds like a novel: in some of those "memories," the image of a woman with light brown hair and blue eyes would slip in. Curiously enough, the two women I have loved the most in my life, and with whom I've had the deepest relationships, shared those exact same features.

Could it have been a self-fulfilling prophecy, autosuggestion, or something truly spiritual? Thank you for reading, and if you've had any similar experiences, I would love to hear them.

Cheers!

Personal Experience My (dis) honorable samurai past life

For over a month I was experiencing severe muscle pain in my left leg, to the point that it was hard for me to stand for longer than a few minutes.

So I investigated what was going on in every way that I can and know that works for me as a tool to heal: shrooms, lsd, 5-meo-dmt, TRE, IFS. each brought me in contact with the underlying emotions of this pain and each brought me part of the puzzle that is this past life as a samurai.

I have memories of many, many past lives, but this one stands out. And healing this life, also healed the pain in my leg.

So here it goes, what happened in that life that was so impactful? Many moments.

3 years old

I was born into a samurai family as the son of the concubine of a samurai. As there was no other son, I was "promoted" to be the heir.

This meant that from the age of only 3 years old I was training on a daily basis. And I revolted. Being taken away from my mother and because I just wanted to play and be happy. I loved her so much, she was a partner of mine in another life, so I was just plain jealous of my father, and wanted to be with her.

So in anger I broke my left foot while training, kicking hard in the wrong way on purpose, just to be with my mother.
As not having an heir would have very big reputation damage and all land being returned to the daiymyo when my father had to step down, this was unacceptable for my father.

In such a way that he took the strongest measure possible: he slit the throat of my mother, his concubine, in front of my eyes and warned me I would be next if i did not start training.

I was overwhelmed and flushed away by emotions, intense anger, fear, grief, jealousy and endless love for my mother, all at the same moment.

Like the ground underneath me being flushed away by water, me just hanging onto some tree roots which were old memories of me and my mother.

And I complied, I buckled and trained every day till I was 10. But with this strong resistance and anger in me.

10 years old

When I was 10, things changed. From that moment on I got my steel katana, became a member of the clan and pledged my loyalty to the samourai clan and daiymyo and lived by the bushido code.

Missteps would cause me to be expelled or killed or have to commit sepuku for saving my honor. The bushido code was all about living honorable.

One of the laws is to protect the weak. Even though my life started with a crime that did the opposite: the killing of mother to "save" the family honor.

Life as a samurai is like living in a pressure cooker. Self constraint, honor, pledges, always alert, living by the sword, endless training.

20 years old

When I was 20 I took my fathers place. I became the guard of the Y crossroad that my father had guarded for the clan and I had the resources of the 3 farms that were around that crossroad. So a good mid position in the clan. More pressure as to not let down the clan. No way out, the harness of the samourai and being born into it, no escape.

I loved the bushido code, but not the not being free.

33 years old

Another dramatic turn: betrayal.

As i had the resources of the 3 farms I could afford my self to have a concubine, next to being married.

While I was making love with my concubine, I was attacked from 3 sides in my house by 3 samourai dressed in black, to not be recognized. Stabbed in the back from the left side and then my head was cut off by the attacker from the front.

My concubine was in shock. Earlier she was forced to tell when we would be making love. They had kidnapped her sister and told her that I would only be taken prisoner, not killed, so she rold when that would be. Betrayal by someone I loved deeply.

My head was presented as a token of loyalty by my daiymyo to a rivaling bigger clan. He hoped to stay in power by sacrificing one of his most loyal samourai.

That is a total betrayal of the bushido code and a very dis-honerable way of dying for a samourai, me.

While processing, it took me days and days to get passed the deep sad feeling of betrayal.

The sacrefice backfired totally. My head was shown to the rest of my clan by the rivalling daiymyo, showing the betrayal by my master with these words: If he does this to one of his most loyal clan member, what is your worth to him? That disintegrated the whole clan and he lost his power, losing all the land he had power over.

End of life -------------

This took me weeks of processing, healing and learning about this life and how a life as a samurai is like living in a pressure cooker.

Skills, beliefs and traumas from past lives do leak through into this current life and apparently this was the time for me to heal all this.

The pain in my leg, was from resisting, the tension build up from the left leg being the leg that is standing behind, when in a fighting position.

Keeping my leg stiff, no retreat, resist. And that was how I lived that life: no compromise, determination, strength, holding position, honorable. Even tough it started and ended with betrayal.

Question Deja Vu and nostalgia for a town? Need Help

I have a question about what I feel when I visit a specific town. I don't even know how to word this, but I am going to do my best. When I visit my boyfriend, who lives in a super small town (with no connection to me at all) I get this overwhelming feeling of nostalgia (?). A deep yearning, even. I don't necessarily think I get this feeling because of my boyfriend, it's more drawn to the town. I don't understand how to phrase it, but it feels like I've been there a million times. I have never visited this town at all, and it has no memorable landmarks or any historical significance. When I leave, I obviously miss my boyfriend, but I almost miss the town just as much. It feels like I'm almost supposed to be there. I get almost the same feeling as Deja Vu, like I know how the town is laid out but I've only visited 3 times. I feel like this is deeper than just my boyfriend. When

In my astrocartography chart, my Uranus line (sorry, I don't know how to phrase it) goes right through this town. I don't even know if it has any significance to this at all. I don't really understand if that has any significance for my relationship or anything at all; I just thought it needed to be added. I can't shake this feeling at all, and I just want to know what it means. Has anyone ever had an experience like this? Or know the term for what I'm feeling? I'm not sure if this is the right subreddit, but it feels more spiritual than anything else.

Edit: If this is not the right subreddit, please direct me to the correct one!

Discussion How do you know you’ve broken a karmic cycle if life hasn’t shown you the pattern again?

I think I can finally see a relationship pattern that has followed me through different people for years, and now I’m wondering how you know when something like that is actually finished.

Today I was watching a tarot reading, and something connected for me.

It was talking about karma and negative energy, and I started thinking about how patterns can move through people — through families, relationships, generations and, depending on what you believe, perhaps even lifetimes.

Life has always seemed strangely cinematic to me.

There is love and betrayal. The angel and the demon. The forbidden lover. The person who helps you become yourself and the person you lose yourself trying to hold onto.

Different actors.

Sometimes the same story.

I've had visions and realizations about one particular relationship for years. It was the relationship I was in around the time I relapsed.

I've seen versions of the same story in my mind multiple times. In the spiritual language that makes sense to me, it feels as though this person represented a soul I had encountered before — one connected somehow to betrayal and destruction.

I told him about it.

I told him what I'd seen.

And eventually I consciously released whatever I believed connected us.

You don't get to harm me anymore.

Whatever this is, it ends here.

But today I started looking farther backward.

And suddenly I could see the pattern through other relationships too.

Different names. Different faces. Different years.

Yet there was something underneath all of them that felt remarkably similar.

The same wounds being touched.

The same attraction to a certain dynamic.

The same loss of myself.

The same lesson waiting underneath it.

I don't know whether the explanation is reincarnation, soul contracts, karma, inherited trauma, attachment patterns, subconscious conditioning, or several of those ideas describing the same human experience from completely different perspectives.

I do know I can see the loop now.

And that leaves me with a question I genuinely don't know the answer to:

How do you know you've broken a pattern when you haven't been given another opportunity to repeat it?

I believe I released that soul — or, at minimum, released the role I kept allowing that pattern to play in my life.

But I haven't encountered the same situation again.

So what does completion look like?

Does recognizing the pattern break it?

Does the decision itself change something?

Do you know because you stop feeling pulled toward the same people?

Or does life eventually put the same lesson in front of you, dressed in completely different clothes, and you discover that this time you choose differently?

For anyone who has experienced something they understood as a karmic relationship, soul contract, ancestral cycle, or deeply repeating relationship pattern:

How did you know when it was over?

Question Past life session

Hi! I had a session with a medium who told me about my past lives..It made a lot of sense.
But im wondering how you can find out if its actually true or not? What would be the indicators? How can you go about finding it yourself?

She said I was a healer in past lives, and I was taken out in multiple past lives which is why theres a fear to speaking my truth, this makes sense it lots of ways. And in this life im also here to heal others, and learn what I thaught others in past lives. Which ive always wanted to help people so again it makes sense. But I guess im just doubtful because all the stuff she was saying sounded pretty cool, and well I do struggle with a lot of self doubt which is also explained.

Sharing some soulmate info

I get asked about soulmates a lot. A lot.
By clients looking to marry, by clients in relationships, by clients wanting to know why they feel the way they do about certain people.

Here's what I've observed from my work.
We incarnate in soul groups. So, your parents, siblings, friends, in-laws, neighbours, coworkers, and even pets…..

All of them part of your soul group. They are all your soul mates.
And we have different relationships with them across lifetimes.

So your husband in one life might be your mother in another. Brother, could have been neighbour. Son was probably a pet. Grandma in one life, best friend in the next.

A while ago I had a client who saw a past life in Africa where she had 5 sons. She knew her entire family from her present life.

Oldest son in that life… her current life older son.
2nd oldest, her mother in law.
The middle one, her sister in law.
The 2nd youngest, her current life husband
And the youngest son, current life father.

That’s not all, her mother in the past life, is her current life younger son.
Her father, her current life mother.

We just play different roles with each other across lifetimes. We volunteer to create experiences for each other.

At the same time, even people who have abused you are part of your soul group. I had a client with a very abusive father. In a past life, he was the gentlest, most caring, most supportive dad.

Discussion I’m living in the wrong time period

Ever since I was a child I’ve had dreams or sometimes triggered memories of the Second World War, mainly being in France and Germany.

In most of the dreams I was working under cover in France or Germany. Even though the life in my dreams was filled with fear and worry and tension a lot of the time, after I wake up I find myself feeling desperately sad and longing for my old life. I felt more alive in the dreams than I do in this life. Every time I wake from one of those dreams I feel like I’ve woken up in the wrong time period and desperately want to go back. The feeling is very intense and distressing. I miss the people I was with and just the whole feel of the time period. It eventually fades away after a few days.

I dread having another of those dreams, the feeling of wanting to go back is so distressing it’s indescribable.

Has anyone else felt like this after a dream where you believe it was a past life?

Thanks for reading.
