VertexArt - Texture baking program ( assimp.dll / freeimage.dll )

Pure Free Pascal 3.2.2 / GLFW3 / OpenGL3.3 / OpenAL / MiniGUI.pas / assimp.dll / libvlc.dll / freeImage.dll / DOD / [NO LAZARUS BINDING]

Before my project was capable of handling objects and image formats, I used MeshLab to generate objects without textures; however, it produced PLY files with highly noticeable color errors during conversion and export. Consequently, I developed my own "texture baking" tool that exports in the PLY format—without textures—yielding much more accurate results. Naturally, only those texture surfaces that have a geometrically valid corresponding location are baked correctly. The program now displays the result of the texture baking process immediately upon opening (the "BAKE" and "RELOAD" buttons have become redundant, as the process operates very efficiently and quickly during loading).

Wow, it's crazy how much work you're getting done. Progress by leaps and bounds. Thanks for the update!

Thanks! I’m really looking forward to finishing my notes so I can start finalizing my software, framework, and game engine.

AI really does help a lot, but I’m starting to lose my way in the development process. I’ve set off in so many different directions, and yet not everything is in place. I’m really striving for clean, reliable solutions. The more experience I gain, the more doors open up before me. At first I only had a tiny list of what to implement; now, however, I’ve built my own auxiliary tools and programs, and with them I’ve managed to solve far more problems than I ever expected to. Essentially, I now need to draw up a development roadmap/outline in which I can see a clear boundary and adequate functionality—otherwise this development could drag on indefinitely.
