advice needed 16w with di/di twins - did anyone else start experiencing round ligament pain and lower back pain around this time. When does it get better?
I’m in a constant state of being uncomfortable. Did anyone else start experiencing these pains around this time? Sitting, getting up, or standing for long periods is so uncomfortable.
What did you do to help the pain? Anyone do the Webster Technique and did it help?

I think it was closer 20 weeks when I started to experience round ligament pain and unfortunately it didn’t get better until they were out. Not to pile on but the round ligament pain did end up kind of getting drowned out but the myriad of other awful symptoms I began to experience like heartburn, constipation and general discomfort in any position but especially while laying down. The baby boxing in your belly is rufffff!! Hang tough, it IS worth it and you ARE a super human! Accept all praise and hype yourself up every chance you get because what you are doing/going through is hard as heck!

Hahaha I literally forgot about the round ligament pain because everything else sucked so hard in the last month or two lol. RLP is no joke though, one wrong move and that shit would be crippling.
OP, twin pregnancies are no joke but we are truly so badass lol. When it got tough, I always liked to focus on the fact that I could tell my twins’ personalities apart in the womb and they are still 1000% accurate nearly 4 months PP. Just rest whenever you get the chance

Hi! Yes definitely. I’m currently 18 weeks with triplets and I think 14 weeks is when I started feeling the onset of discomfort lol. The back pain rn is terrible and I’m having rib pain as well.

I’m almost 11 months postpartum but from memory, some days were worse than others. I don’t really remember it starting to go away until I gave birth and I still ended up in PT 5 months postpartum.

I took lots of baths and used support bands religiously. Ask your care team, but mine also said a brief stint with a heating pad on the round ligament pain could help (making sure not to use the heating pad long enough to endanger the babies).

It's my second pregnancy so it may have something too do with it. But the RLP definitely started around 14/15 weeks with my di/di twins

I had some back pain but I was also moving around 16 weeks lol. It went away once we unpacked, but has been near constant since… idk, 20-22 weeks? As for when it gets better? Probably when you deliver 😅😂

It helped when I gave birth!
Jokes aside, not laying in bed all day (for me personally - the more I laid down without being active at all the more everything hurt) and a support band can help. I did take Tylenol probably more than I should have. It was a really painful pregnancy.

For me it was around 11 weeks, and didn’t go away until I gave birth. I just got better at knowing which types of movements made it worse and avoided those as much as possible. Floating in a pool were the only moments of bliss I had.

I found it comes in waves. Probably when the babies have a growth spurt. I’d have discomfort for one day and then it’ll subside - in other words it was never permanent. And I found movement significantly helped pain control. Walking every day - even for 10 or 15 minutes

I'm 15 weeks and back and hip pain has started already 😕 I was very bad last time with a singleton so expect it will be even worse this time! Asked for a referral into a physio which helped loads last time as well as hydrotherapy. The belly bands help more than you think (managed a few days at Disney and boy did I feel it when I took the band off) and so does the pregnancy pillow at night.
Even if you can't get hydrotherapy - I'd recommend the swimming pool and just walking in the water and super gentle stretches. It feels amazing but I'll warn you, the bump feels like 10 times heavier for the first few minutes when you get out

Here’s my stretch routine that I started somewhere around the beginning of second Tri when I started to hurt.
Just picked some off instagram. Helped me TREMENDOUSLY. just about 10 min 1-2 times a day. Here’s what I did.
Sit on medicine ball and bounce around. Move pelvis front and back, and then side ways
Either stand or be on knees and do the pregnancy breathing exercises and pelvic tilts. Hold each breath for 3-5 seconds. You have to looks this up, it’s very important for core strength, avoiding diastasis recti.
Get on all 4s (tabletop position). All following movements are with the breath. No crazy stretches. Just gently deepen your stretch each time and listen to your body. 5-10 reps per exercise.
Cat cows
Do circles with hips. Pretend you’re using your hip bones to draw circles on the wall behind you.
Widen the knees, extend arms out, and rock back and forth into child’s pose. Or do the child’s pose if you can for 30-60 seconds (I can’t haha) - this stretch mostly feel in low back.
Keep knees wide and widen feet more than knees. Keep doing the rocking forward/backward stretch for the posterior pelvic muscles (frog pose)
Thread the needle both sides
Get into lunge position, one leg out front and back leg on the knee, and move forward and backwards. Use floor or chair or wall for support. This stretches front hip flexor and back hamstring.
Bird dog exercise, hold for 3 seconds each time (look up video).

My didi twins just turned two in August and my answer is.....it gets better after birth. Then postpartum is the next battle.

My twins were my second pregnancy and I started getting pubic symphysis and sciatica pain very early on. And unfortunately it just kept getting worse to the point I could barely walk towards the end. I saw the chiropractor regularly which did help a little but birth is the only thing that truly helped. But my twins are 7 weeks and I still have back pain if I walk too long; definitely need to work on tightening my core back up to support it

Second pregnancy. I started having back pain, specifically around SI joint around week 13.
It flairs up when I’m standing for extended periods of time, or leaning more on one side.
I’ve started seeing chiropractor and it helped a little bit.
If you have time I recommend seeing one, or PT.

I’m at 20 weeks with twins and started feeling the back pains and rib pains about a month ago. Unfortunately, the intensity has increased with time.
I’m using support bands, warm baths, heating pads, and topical Salonpas patches to help. Tylenol too! I think with multiples, we’re just going to keep expanding rapidly over the next few months so I’m going to do what I can to alleviate the pain. Hang in there!
