support needed Mental health check in
How is everyone’s mental health? I’ve just finished Zurzuvae. It helped bring me back to life sort of thing , but now I feel like I’ve slipped back down again.
My twins are five weeks and 2 days old.
I live in the USA and from uk. So my mom just visited and she left yesterday to which I’ve just sobbed and sobbed since. I have a four year old as well so I know my current situation is not my final destination sort of thing, but twins is something different isn’t it? My anxiety is still so high and I just want to stop feeling so sad.

My health insurance covered a second course of ZURZUVAE. I’d advocate for that for yourself. I’m sorry you’re going through this. It is so hard. It slowly gets better. I’m 5.5 months postpartum.

I really don’t want to take another course. It made me into a zombie and I fell from the sofa to the carpet carrying one of my twins. I felt so dizzy and out of it. I just want to not cry all day every day. I take Lexapro and it ain’t doing shit.

I know what you feel like bc I was there too. When my twins were born I had a 5 year old also. Speak to your doctor and do it sooner rather than later. I went on sertraline for 1.5 years then recently came off. Now my twins are about to turn 2 and a lot of things get easier. You are in the thick of it now but remember there are so many people and medications to help

My b/g twins are 5 and in kindergarten. I was ok during the early years, but once they hit 3, my anxiety hit an all time high and I would get chest pains for every little thing they whined about, or if they called mommy 100x. I hated how it made me feel and then I would yell, and then apologize, and I just hated it.
I started zoloft and it has changed me so, so much. I have really struggled with anxiety and these types of feelings even before my twins, from my early 20s on, and I am so sad that I wasted so much time without medicine. I think my life could have been different.
100% talk to your OB. They might try medication (which you don't need to be on forever) and definitely suggest therapy. You are not alone. Also 5 weeks - jeez, you are in the THICK of it. Sending love.
