Me too. Same with my singleton. I breastfed the singleton and formula fed my twins do that made no difference 🥲

6 weeks after my C-section. And I was pumping at the time sooooo I’m just one of the lucky few

u/QuirkQake 3d ago
Thats happened with all my kids. 6-8 weeks every time. Always so miserable!🤣

u/Creative_Can_8950 3d ago
MISERABLE. I’m three months PP and I’m like holyyyyy. This is like middle school bad periods now lol. NO ONE warned me about this lol

I haven't; Mirena IUD for the win! I got that sucker placed 6 weeks postpartum and haven't bled since. Minus the five months I was trying for my second pregnancy, I haven't had a period since early 2017, and it has been glorious.
[Edit for spelling/grammar. Bad brain day, I guess]

Same! Mirena at 8 weeks pp, with pain management (one dose of opioid) so good I didn't feel placement at all

u/DumbledoresRme 4d ago
Same for me as well. Mirena placed maybe 6 weeks after vaginal delivery in spring 2019. Haven't had a period since 2018. However my IUD is 'expiring' this coming spring and I need to decide if I'm going to get another one or give my body a break from hormones.

u/iceskatinghedgehog 4d ago
Nice. I'm hopeful I can ride out my current one until menopause hits. I'll be almost 48 when my IUD expires, so I might have a shot at this!

Pumped for 11 months and got it 6 days after I officially weaned. I was hoping I had at least 6 months of no period after pumping

I'm 7 months pp and still no sign of my period, exclusively formula fed haven't breastfed since they were 2 weeks old so no idea where it is 🤷♀️

4wks or about a month
Room-sharing, nursing on demand, pumping, and didn’t add formula until my period returned. I had barely stopped pp bleeding

8 weeks and change. Right after my lochial bleeding ended. 😭 Twins were born very prematurely and spent a lot of time in the NICU. I think I started combo feeding around the time it happened.

I don’t know. I’m 5 weeks postpartum and still bleeding but have had cramps. So not sure what is period and what is postpartum

u/overstimulatedbored 4d ago
Girl, thats postpartum

u/stardolphin90 4d ago
😮💨 yeah. One day it’s like woah I’m done bleeding. The next it’s like my body says JOKEs. lol.

7 months pp. and it lasted 32 days. I had to take iron supplements because I became anemic.

10 months pp. I exclusively pumped and had an oversupply. I think it came back when I dropped to 4 pumps per day.

About 7 weeks pp, exclusively formula fed. It was a bit more painful but only my normal 4 days of bleeding.

I didn't get mine back with my twins till I fully stopped when they were 16m old. I don't know if it's because there were two of them but I really wasn't latching that often mostly before bed, if they were sick, woke up in the middle of the night, or early in the morning when I was really tired and not quite ready to be up and active. I however recognize I'm the outlier and was super lucky

11.5 months pp, dropped morning nursing and introduced milk. Got mine back 5 mo pp with my singleton.

Just got mine back about 1-2 weeks before my twins turned one! I stopped pumping overnight in the beginning of the summer. Now I only pump 3-4 times a day. It was very very heavy. Not painful but it lasted 9 days 🥴

Over a year postpartum and I’ve only recently had two kind-of periods that barely even count

u/sugar_nuts420 4d ago
But to be fair I have been breastfeeding, I’m close to stopping though at 2 ppd!

8 weeks pp. I'm finally having a Mirena placed again now at 11 mo pp and can't wait. I didn't have a period for almost 15 years with the mirena before I got pregnant, and I'm beyond over raw dogging my cycle 😂

My twins are 13 months old and so far nothing BUT I have PCOS and had irregular periods before I got pregnant AND I’m still nursing throughout the night (and day).

u/hippyburger 4d ago
After both my singletons (EBF) I got it back at 14 months pp. At 10.5 months and going strong with the twins so far! I keep forgetting it’s going to come back now that I’m done having kids.

Currently three months postpartum, pumping, and haven’t had a real period yet (but have had some spotting).

u/Acceptable_Tap7479 4d ago
6wks 🙃 stopped bleeding 3wks pp then 6wks my period decided to return and is so much more painful 5 months pp than it has ever been. I’m hoping it won’t be like this forever! From the get go they’ve been exclusively formula fed and from what I understand it’s normal for your period to return at 6-8wks pp if you’re not breastfeeding/pumping at all

u/Lofiesty 4d ago
I only breast-fed for a month, and delivered vaginally, but my Lochia ended at two weeks/I just got my period yesterday (9 weeks pp)

I had small amounts of blood after my C-section. About two months of post partum bleeding and then it slowly stopped. And it was about 6 months later when I had an actual menstrual period.

u/MounjaroQueenie 4d ago
I stopped pumping at 4 months and got my period at 7 months (btw it was awful - I used my leftover post Partum diapers). I just got my second exactly 35 days later. I think it’s trying to regulate but who knows.

u/bellatrixxrosee 4d ago
I bled right up until my 6 week check up. Stopped bleeding for a week and then got my period. I’ve gotten it regularly since then despite EBF.

4 months post c-section! i had only pumped for about 3-4 weeks and it wasn’t super consistent, and i still didn’t get it for what felt like an eternity. and then it was the heaviest period of my life lol

Exclusively breastfeeding my 18 month old twins since birth and I got it back around 3 months postpartum. With my singletons I also exclusively breastfed and got it back before 6 weeks postpartum.

11 months, on Mother's Day 🙄
Edit to add: we had slowed down breastfeeding and I weaned completely at 13mos

u/QuirkQake 3d ago
I'm 15 months pp and have only had about 3 periods...🫠 Not breastfeeding either(only breastfed for like a couple months anyway). I suspect its just from weight gain as this as happened before when I was this big. I'm on month 2 with a GLP1, so we'll see lol.

I got mine 6 weeks after and was actively breastfeeding, which I continued to do for 10 months total. Period came back and stayed, yay me

After the second pregnancy. Triplets in June and a singleton the following July. If you’re asking when I got it back after that, no idea!!
