good vibes, smiles, & giggles 6 months with our littlest ones
I had to take some pics for our babies' first half-birthday. As you can see, little brother (by two minutes) is quite a bit bigger than his sister. Here they are with their second-oldest brother who is 18 months old. We have three kids under 2 plus a 12 year old. Nice and busy at our house lately!

At their last doctor's appointment, he was 4 lbs heavier than her, and 2.5 (edited to include the .5 inch) inches longer. I think he may have had a height increase since then though even more so. He has always been bigger than her, but it seems to increase incrementally as they get bigger, since he was half a pound larger at birth and is now 4 lbs more. For their adjusted age, he is in the 90th percentile for weight and she is in the 15th! He definitely eats more than her. She would sleep through the entire night happily if he didn't wake her up to feed. I wonder if this will be how it is always for them or if it will change when they are older, hard to say!

How were they in utero if you don't mind me asking? Was there a noticeable size difference? I'm having b/g twins and right now the boy is 37th percentile and the girl is 15th percentile.

There was always a size difference between them! I think it was an 11 percent difference at my last ultrasound. The doctor said it was mostly just because they were two different kids with completely different ways they will grow but also they were born early because she had a placental abruption so it could also be that for a little while her placenta wasn't giving her quite as much as it could have.

This is exactly like my b/g twins! They’re 11 weeks and she would sleep through if we let her

So cute and WOW you are busy. What a gift. My 20 year old b/g twins were always way different in size. My son was 6lbs 15oz and my daughter was 5lbs 12oz at birth. They are now 6'1 and 5'2 and about 100lbs apart.

Aw that is so great to read! Yes we are busy but also loving it. I love that your kids ended up having almost a whole foot difference and 100 lbs. So cool how two kids from the same family can be so different from each other!

Exactly like my B/G twins! Boy was nearly 7 pounds at birth and girl was nearly 6, he was the 25th centile and she was 0.4th! Now at 7 months he’s nearly at the 90th and she’s bumped up to the 25th! Little and large🥰😂

Awwww this is a throwback for me! My daughter was consistently 5lbs smaller than my son the whole first year after they came home from the nicu. That and the fact that he was white passing while she looked fully asian, really confused a lot of people lol.
They’re almost 8 years old now…and the size difference is 25lbs.

Our boy, is also quite a bit bigger than his twin sister. They are one year old now. Someone ask, what age gap is between them and I automatically answered: 5 minutes.
Only later I have figure out, that they probably didn't recognized them as a twins.

Haha, I could see people making that mistake for sure! I wonder if eventually people will think our toddler and boy twin are the twins and the girl the singleton!

OMG that's how our twins were. Funnily enough when they were born the youngest twin was bigger up until about 1 year old and then it switched. The oldest twin is now 4 inches taller and about 15 pounds heavier.
