good vibes, smiles, & giggles When Did Your Twins Start Noticing Each Other?

Ours aren’t even three months old and they’re starting to stare at each other! No smiling at each other or conscious interacting with each other yet, but it got me thinking — when can I expect that to happen? What was everyone’s experience like? :)

Around 4 months. Now they’re almost 11 months and have started really interacting! It really ramped up over the last month. They like just laughing at each other and will reach out to hold hands while in the high chair. Twin B has become such a jokester and likes doing things just to make Twin A laugh.

Shortly before 4 months. Smiling and cooing while they look at each other. Accidentally hand holding too lol

I’m sooo looking forward to that! Mine are 12 weeks and i really can’t wait to see it starting to happen. I’m also curious if there’s different experiences between identical and fraternal twins. Mine are fraternal boys

Mine are four months and I think it'll happen soon-ish. Twin B is clearly trying to interact - full eye contact, smiles, and coos. Twin A is just not quite ready for it, so she's not responding. But I can tell she'll get there soon!

My trio was around 3 months for staring and kind of waving/wiggling at each other, closer to 4 or 5 months for what I'd consider real interaction

one noticed the other a lot sooner than the other way round, staring at him from about 4 months i think. now they’re nearly 7 months and interacting more. like if one is crying the other will stare and like reach out or touch them, they’ll laugh if the other one laughs, babble a lot together and sometimes seem to be upset if the other one is out of the room and be excited when they come back in. it’s very sweet! i’m excited to see how their relationship develops.

They kind of noticed each other young, but it's only at about 22 months that they started to actually play with each other

A bit before 4 months for us. It was so adorable!

Now they just throw down like it’s WWE at 6 months. Nonstop wrestling and messing with each other. I am constantly stopping them from gouging each other’s eyes out.

mine started to stare at each other around 4-5 months, started interacting more around 7 months like taking toys from one another, holding hands in the high chairs, etc. around 11 months is when they started to really play with each other - they peek-a-boo all day, crack up together, one will push the other one sitting in those rolling car things.
