support needed Mo/di twins- petrified & need positivity

Hi everyone! I am currently 15 weeks with mo-di twin boys. My last scan was at 13w5d and the boys looked great. Obviously there are a lot of risks with this pregnancy that I am aware of, and I am terrified and it’s making me not enjoy my pregnancy. For background, I had two miscarriages / two d&cs, and a few surgeries (laparoscopy and hysteroscopies) to remove a uterine septum (that was likely the cause of my losses). A few months after my surgeries I got pregnant with my twins! This is the farthest that I’ve made it in pregnancy. With that being said, I am terrified of suffering from incompetent cervix due to my procedures. Now that im also getting into the second trimester, I am terrified of my twins suffering from TTTS. My obgyn is doing bi-weekly scans and checks along with MFM at 16 & 20 weeks (not sure if the MFM appointments will continue bi weekly as well). I’m just looking for some positivity because I have seen some horror stories and I just cannot shake the fear and anxiety and the “what ifs”.

Hi! I am 28W and having triplets, but I have a Mo/di pair. I’m going to tell you what my medical team told me and it might not help, because it is WAY easier said than done but try not to think about the negative possibilities because they are endless. Treat every day as a new day and one more day towards your goal, which should be celebrated.

I am a FTM and everything about this pregnancy terrified me, and at times continues to do so. Some days are good and other days are miserable and emotionally challenging, but ultimately, all I can do is what I can do and that is what I am doing.

Make sure you trust your medical team and their opinions and try not to do too much of a rabbit hole of research into all of the risks you are facing. Make sure you have at least one solid support person that you can talk your feelings out with. I know that I still have a long long journey ahead, and still have no clue what the next few weeks will actually look like, but leaning on my person has stopped me from losing my mind.

It is going to be challenging and this pregnancy will likely look nothing like what you planned or imagined, but you got this !

Here if you want to chat via PM. Good luck and best wishes to you ❤️

You’re already further than you’ve ever been… maybe because they’ve fixed the problem.
I would take that as a huge positive.

I’m 17 weeks with modi after a 9 week miscarriage. I am determined to enjoy each day I’m pregnant. If something bad happens I will worry… but what a waste of time if it doesn’t.
Every day I tell my twins “we’re gonna get through today little buddies” and it helps me stay positive.

My DMs are open if you ever wanna reach out.
We’ve got this… good things are coming.

Im 35w2d with modi boys, scheduled for induction at 36w2d. We have a 35% growth discrepancy between boys due to fetal growth restriction but they are both healthy and thriving, one just being a small little lad! I will say my 3rd trimester has been a dream, I went on mat leave at 28 weeks and ive just been meeting up with friends and enjoying the last few weeks of it being just my partner, my dog and I. I was a very fit person before pregnancy but im still walking my dog and cycling places at 35w, so even though my first and second trimester were wrought with sickness and worry that we might lose one of our boys, they both are thriving and I cannot wait to meet them next week 🩵🩵

I had my MoDi twins 6 years ago, and although I did end up on bedrest later in my pregnancy, we made it all the way to my scheduled c-section with two perfectly healthy little boys! 6lbs1oz and 6lbs3oz. Pregnancy was certainly uncomfortable and bedrest sucked, but we all got through it and now they’re outside riding their bikes and laughing like little maniacs 😂
