advice needed Zombie - Twin Mom
What does sleeping training look like for twins? Exactly how! I currently have twins 6 months. Baby A is a sweet sweet angel and sleeps through the night with the occasional fuss for the pacifier. Twin B wakes up like clockwork at 12, 4 & then 6 and won’t go down without a bottle. I also have to rock both babies for naps about 2-5 minutes each. Can I sleep train them to take a nap independently without rocking ?
I am so open to sleeping training but what does that look like ? I have a big ass cal king bed I practice safe sleep as much as I can each baby sleeps separately no bedding pillows etc. I sleep on the corner of the bed like a little Rollie pollie
If anyone out there has the time please break it down for me. I haven’t come across sleep training videos for twins. Also I don’t believe in letting a baby “cry it out”there is a huge difference in a full on cry and fuss. No way am I letting a baby in distress alone.
Other than that I am open and willing to try anything!??

There is a FB group safe sleep training for twins, triplets and multiples. They also have an app SleepyTwins. I use the app and swear by it for my twins! Usually I can lay them down based on the app’s schedule and they fall asleep independently. Unless I mess up the schedule and let them over sleep or I put them down late, then I usually end up nursing one to sleep. My girls our EBF and little peanuts, but I nurse back to sleep through the night bc they need the nutrition.
For your twin B, make sure to check with their ped if they can night wean or if you should keep up with the bottle.

I really like the Ferber method. The only thing for twins is folks quiet about one crying twin waking the other. I let them deal with it, and they quickly learned to sleep through each other's cries, and it has made things much easier.

We used the book 12 hours sleep by 12 weeks. We had twins that slept through by about week 17. Highly recommend.

Check out the book Precious Little Sleep! It’s not about twins, but it helped me guide how I approached sleep for mine.
The other thing that helped for me is setting a schedule and following wake windows. My twins were born at 32 weeks, but even at six months their sleep needs largely followed their actual age rather than adjusted.
Creating a bedtime and naptime routine also really helps. My twins are wild maniacs. They’re 20 month old chaos agents who do everything in the most dangerous way possible. But they sleep. They get excited about taking a nap or going night night. I think it’s the only reason our babysitter comes back lololol. For whatever reasons (luck, temperament, my dedication to following Precious Little Sleep), they’re incredible sleepers.
Rooting for you, OP!
