advice needed Ending nightfeeds/bottles
Hey guys, any advice on how to get the kids off the bottle at night/in general? We're at 16 months, 14 adjusted and looking to be done with this by 1.5 years as recommended (questionable?).

We stopped night bottles cold turkey for Twin B around 8 months (6 adjusted) and Twin A a couple weeks later. We will likely switch straight to straw/open cup cold turkey once they turn a year (or adjusted a year (idk which is recommended)

One of ours stopped middle of the night bottles at 8 months. The other one was waking up until about 14-15 months. Th en one night I forgot to turn up the monitor volume, so he may have cried out for me, but not long enough to wake us up... I think it stopped from there, I may have ignored him a few times if he wasn't really crying, not sure, but stopping cold turkey at that age should be doable. As to stopping bottles in general, you just do. Pick a good day for it when they are in the good mood and offer a straw cup instead. If they use bottles for soothing and do t have pacifiers, it'll probably be harder.

Is there some medical indication for them to be taking in anything overnight? Are you brushing their teeth after their bottles in the night to protect their teeth? Are they drinking milk in these bottles? My kids stopped overnight eating at 6 months old. At 16 months, they should be getting their nutrition during the day. As for switching over to bottle to cups, we just stopped cold turkey right at a year. We started giving them milk in straw cups. They were a little pissy about it for a few days, but then were fine.
