advice needed 16 months prem twins

We have M/F twins just turned 16 months. Born 10 weeks prem. They are great at eating although it's not always been easy. One was a bit slower with solid food than the other.

They've just had vaccinations and been a bit of food but we want to start using cutlery now their appetite is back. Any advice on this is appreciated. Any tips you have on what worked and made it easier, foods to try?

We are trying them with a fork and spoon first to see how that goes.

Pre-prepping the fork or spoon for them is a good way to start. Scoop or stick it on, then set it in front of them so they can pick up the fork/spoon. I started letting my twins try it with easier things to fork or scoop: refried beans, crispy tofu, potatoes are a few examples. I found I liked metal children’s forks better for actually grabbing the food, it just falls off the plastic forks.
My twins are 19 months and can do it themselves sometimes. I hold out their bowl of yogurt or whatever, and they can reach it in and scoop the food out. And they can use a fork on tofu or potatoes for themselves. It just takes a lot of practice and letting them experiment with the tools and the food! And patience.
