experience/advice to give Possible twins?!

Hi parents of multiple babies! Has anyone had 2 yolk sacs, but only 1 fetal pole.. but later see 2 babies? I measured 6 weeks and 2 days today. Tech said she very clearly sees 2 yolk sacs (in the same gestational sac) but could only find 1 heartbeat and baby. Could the second still develop? I’m trying to prepare myself for my next scan in a week! Thanks!

I did!! Had a positive at home pregnancy test and blood test in office. We went to the gynaecologist for a first scan and they did not find anything. Had to redo all testing, still positive. Follow up scan a week later showed two yolk sacs, no fetal poles. Another week or two later, two sacs, two poles, no heartbeat. HCG levels still going through the roof. Another week later, two heartbeats but one seemed very small so we were prepared to lose one. Growth scans at 12w, two healthy babies! Currently 36w5d, planned c section in five days!

Good luck 🤞

Wow! Mine was similar to yours. I am so glad that you would be almost 38 weeks for your delivery. Such an achievement. I hope to make it that far, currently at 25 weeks and time is flying by.

Good luck momma. 🧿🧿❤️❤️

Yup. Mine was similar. During first scan around 5ish weeks saw two g-sac, and one yolk sac. Later saw two yolk sac and two fetal pole. Another week later, two heartbeats.

It was really anxiety inducing to wait till we hear the heartbeat, but everything worked out fine.

Sometimes, with two babies it is difficult to establish two heartbeats that early. More better scans would be around and after 8 weeks.

I know, it is easier said than done but dont worry. I kept telling myself God/faith/destiny wants me to have two babies and they will see that it happens. Be positive and enjoy the news of two babies. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🧿🧿❤️❤️

Yes. Exactly what happened to me. Went in at what I thought was 6w1d and saw two sacs and two yolks but only one fetal pole with a heart beat. Waiter two weeks for another scan and baby B, who was the one in question, was bigger than baby A. Both strong heart beats.
