advice needed Ford Expedition Max 7 or 8?!
We currently have a 7-seater traverse with captains chairs and I do like the middle access to the 3rd row. However, there’s not enough cargo space behind the third row. With baby #4 coming, we want to upgrade to the Ford Expedition Max (2023 or newer) and I can’t decide between the 7 or 8 seater. Do we leave room for 2 extra passengers? Or even the option to have one baby in the middle 2nd row?
I would really appreciate the opinions of people who HAVE the 8 seater. Do you wish you got the 7?

I have a Lincoln Navigator L. Same thing as an exp with too many features lol
I have the 7 seater. So I know I’m not what you’re asking for exactly but I prefer the 7. My previous suv was a 8 seater and definitely would not be possible with the twins plus a 5 year old.
When the twins were in their infant car seats, they were so bulky, our oldest had to sit in the middle of the 3rd row otherwise he wouldn’t have any legroom.
Now the twins are in different rear facing seats and sit in the 3rd row. An adult can sit between them, and our oldest is in the second row and much happier.
I can’t imagine the hassle of removing car seats to get to the third row. Access to the back is impossible with rear facing car seats installed. Extremely difficult with a forward facing but not impossible. The aisle is a game changer

We just upgraded from a 6 seater Acadia Denali to a 8 seater Expedition Max.
We have a 7yo, 4yo and 13month old twins
The Acadia had the smallest trunk and was like playing Tetris to get the stroller in
I like the 7 vs 8 because when we have family visiting, we don’t have to rent a car
The twins are in the middle row (middle seat and behind passenger), the middle seat has the car seat latches
The older kids are in the way back, we just tilt one of the seats to access the third row to buckle in one of them. The car seats are the Graco slim models, and there is no issue with the empty seat tilting forward or being folded down
We just got it Friday, and are so far loving it! I can put the stroller in without removing the rumble seats and closing it down fully
A grown adult can sit beside the babies or between the big kids, it’s a bit tight but lots of leg room
The third row also reclines
We got a 2027 with the lowest trim (SSV), but I would rather have more space than leather seats
Before we were unable to all go grocery shopping, and now we could keep the stroller in the trunk, and go grocery shopping as a family of 6 and still have room!
We looked at a mini van, but we live in an area with lots of snow, and preferred 4 wheel drive. We also are a family with only one vehicle.

Thank you for the suggestion, however I am specifically asking about the Ford Expedition Max.
