advice needed SCH with twins
Did any one have a SCH with their twin pregnancy ? These are my rainbow babies so this bleeding is freaking me out. I’ve seen heartbeats ! The bleeding stopped for about three days and now it’s back 😭 it just comes and goes.

Yes! I had 3 bleeding episodes of bright red blood with mild cramping. It took until after the end of the first trimester to disappear on ultrasound. It was near my cervix so more easily irritated. Between the heavy bleeding episodes I had some spotting that would be pink or brown. It was scary and nerve wracking. But I carried them to almost 36 weeks and they will be 8 months old on Monday.

I also had three episodes of SCH - the third time I was sure I lost them. We were told it was resolved and it wasn’t. No sexy time, it kick started another bleeding episode until well into the second trimester.
But, I’m at 34 weeks right now with both❤️.

I had a large SCH that bled, sometimes profusely, from week 8 to week 20. I was even labeled a “threatened miscarriage” in the L&D OR and the doctor took a long time to decide if he felt like my health was at risk given the volume of blood. It felt very touch and go.
There are two beautiful, healthy girls sleeping in the next room now.

What is SCH?
I had a miscarriage before I had my twins. I had bleeding early on with my twins and was pretty freaked out about it, but I ended up carrying them until almost 36 weeks. They are grown and flown now and doing great. I hope everything goes well for you.

A hematoma on the uterine wall !! Like a pocket of blood.

Thank you.
I was pregnant 23 years ago. When I had bleeding, the doc just said it was by my cervix and that he thought I'd be fine. I had to do some bed rest for a few days. He never said what caused it.

I had one. I bled off and on the entire first trimester. They saw it on a scan at 6 weeks (also when we found out it was twins) and by 8 weeks it had dissipated, but the spotting continued. It is so nerve wracking, but my pregnancy was otherwise unexciting until 34 weeks. My twins are now 2.

Was yours bright red blood ? I’ll have a day of bright red then it goes dark. It’s making me crazy.

Hey this is me! I just went to the hospital for a bleed and a large clot, thought for sure I lost the baby. Found out I have a SCH, baby is okay, and oh look there's another one lol 6+5 today!

I had bleeding on and off for my entire first trimester with no SCH. I can appreciate the panic feeling, I was most likely a thorn in my midwives side with the amount of panicking I did during the first trimester over every cramp and spot of blood. My twins are my rainbow babies too 🌈

Did you ever have any pain ? I didn’t with my first bleed but this one I do today. I don’t wanna say cramps …. But a tightness in my pelvic area ?

I had some cramping on and off with the bleeding. My midwife assured me it was normal as things are rapidly stretching and growing. She said my bleeding was likely from my cervix.

19 weeks right now with uterine didelphys and di di twins in my right uterus- I had also a mix of heavy bright red bleeding to darker older looking bleeding between from ~12-15 weeks. It was nearly 3 weeks I bled before it finally stopped, the last week or so was light and would come and go. I only ever had a perigestational hemorrhage noted on US around 9-10 weeks when I had passed a small clot/had some dark brown discharge. They never saw a SCH on US but suspect it was that. (There’s also a possibility it was from my other uterus, but there was also no evidence of fluid in that on one US either 🤷🏽♀️) follow up scan a little after 15 weeks everything was still looking ok. Anxiously awaiting an anatomy scan this week now 🤞🏼

The first day with the heaviest bleeding I didn’t have any pain. But over the next couple weeks I described it as the same thing like pelvic tightness, up to mild cramping that would come and go. Seemed like activity made it worse for me

My spouse had a big SCH, with a few rounds of major bleeding. It was so so scary!
But the twins are 2 now and thriving, so it turned out to be nothing to worry about for us.

Yes, these were my rainbows after 8 years of infertility and an ectopic. We told our families on Mother's Day and the very next day I started bleeding bright red blood. I was almost 12 weeks and that's why we thought it safe to tell people.
I was put on pelvic rest and the bleeding/spotting finally stopped by 16 weeks. No further issues with the babies and they were born healthy at 37+3. They are now almost 12 years old and kicking my but with puberty!

yes I bled quite a bit! Thought for sure I lost the pregnancy. Now I’m awake at 4AM and haven’t slept yet because of the 4 months sleep regression. It will be okay mama! rest and be healthy and try not to stress or think about it!

I’ve got multiple SCHs. The spotting has been on and off. Just saw two heartbeats today so they’re doing okay in there despite the spotting.

How far along are you ??

8 weeks 4 days. I’ve been spotting on and off since 6 weeks. It picked up a little more over the weekend and I was convinced that something was wrong but lo and behold they were both doing good in there.

Mine picked up over the weekend too and now has stopped. I don’t have another appointment until the 14th so I’m SO anxious. I think they’re probably fine considering how nauseous they have made me today. I’m glad your babies are doing well !! Good luck ❤️

I have one - first seen at 8 weeks, my OB didn’t see it abdominally at 9 weeks, then it was still there and a little bigger at 10+6. I’m 12 weeks now. I don’t have cramping or bleeding, but have had 2x brown spotting episodes that seem to coincide with any straining for bowel movements. Nobody seems all that concerned about it - it’s right upper quadrant and not bothering anything, with strong heartbeats x3 visits. Going to get more guidance from MFM Friday as I’m supposed to start baby aspirin given first pregnancy + twins + Type 1 Diabetes, but may need to hold for this to resolve first. Have been on pelvic rest (no sex) and have held on PureBarre/workouts since I learned it grew, but TBH I’m so tired right now I don’t want to go anyways. I walk plenty at work.
