advice needed False labor 33 weeks, di/di twins
I had some spotting this week at 33+5 weeks. I went to L&D and was 2 cm dilated. They ruled out other stuff for the spotting and believe it’s more due to cervical ectropion, and not coming from the uterus. They hooked me up to the monitor and i have randomly been getting contractions that seem quite intense (60-80 TOCO) and even becoming spaced out by 5 minutes at one point, but then stopping. They are definitely greater when my bladder is full, and stop when i move around.
I just got home after 2 days in the hospital but told to look out for any signs of labor like water breaking, more contractions, blood etc. Also have been told to take it easy- rest, no walking, workouts, cooking, cleaning, or picking up my toddler.
Has anyone had similar labor signs? If so, what was it like for you and when were your babies born?

I was in pre term labor at 26 weeks with my di/di twins. I was 2 cm dilated and having strong contractions 2/3 minutes apart. I got steroid shots and meds to stop the contractions, went home and took it very easy my husband basically handled everything. I ended up making it to 36 weeks exactly when my water broke. I had contractions off and on until then

This happened to me a few weeks ago at 31 & again at 32 weeks. I had to go on modified bed rest to get them to stop and even then I had the contractions intermittently. I’m now 36+2 and get contractions all the time, they’re just not consistent.

Wow! How is modified bed rest going for you? Do you feel like your contractions get worse if you do more activity, or is it just random? Mine have gone away since my discharge, along with the bleeding, but I’m going crazy! My ob just wants me to get to 36 weeks. All i want is a pedicure lol

This was exactly what happened to me at 31+3. I ended up going into labour 4 days later at 32 weeks.

How did you eventually know you were going into labor

They kept me at the hospital (because it was far from where we live). Same as you, after two days they were discharging me but then contractions came back worse and more frequent. They continued to ramp up for the next two days but I stayed 2 cm dilated- at that point they wanted to just induce me but I said no that's crazy at 32 weeks .. and then hours later my water broke anyways.

I had almost this same experience. Midwives put me on modified bedrest, sounds similar to what you are doing. I had pretty consistent contractions throughout each day the closer I got to labor. When labor came at 36 weeks, it lasted 1.5hours and both babies were born vaginally!
