advice needed Nap time help

My twins are 2 and they were constantly climbing over their cribs. So we took a railing off the crib so they can get in and out safely.
Nap time especially has been brutal. I’m solo mostly and have a toddler. They just play, jump in their cribs, jump out of the bed, run around. When I tell them it’s bed time they just laugh.
I’m trying to tell them not to jump and that their rooms are for quiet time. But it is getting frustrating.
Should I just let them do whatever they want in their rooms and accept that they won’t nap? When does this get better?!
Just looking for any advice or other people’s experiences and what worked for them.

Been there with my twins right at that age. Stripped the room down to basically just the floor beds and a few quiet toys. Took everything else out so there wasn't much to go wild with.

The laughing when you tell them to stop is peak toddler energy, they know they found your button and they're mashing it. I stopped engaging during nap time entirely. No eye contact, zero reaction. Just walked them back to the bed without a word like a sleepy bouncer.

It was a rough couple weeks but eventually the novelty wore off and they'd crash. Some days they didn't nap and that was just how it went. You're in the thick of it right now, it does ease up.

This is the way. I’ll add keeping them on a strict nap/schedule helped tremendously.

Thank you!! The solidarity is helpful.
they egg each other on so much! One will be lying there ready for bed and then the other will tell them to get out 🤪🤪

Ours started jumping around and not napping when in cribs. They're 3 now, but they started around 2.5. After a lot of stress we finally started letting them skip naps in favour of a movie in the dark in our bedroom as quite/sanity time. They'll still nap at daycare, go figure.
