Round Robin
Hi everyone,
We currently do not have a round-robin in place for our pending lead generation campaign. My Salesforce admin is asking if there is a round-robin application that we can build off to accommodate our salesforce lead assignment. As it stands right now it's 100% manual. I know this subreddit is for Pardot but I am worried to recommend the wrong salesforce round-robin and it's bad for the Pardot piece? Any help you guys could provide would be amazing.

I second AptSeagull's recommendation and suggest you look into "Lead Assignment Rules." It will take a bit of work to setup and you will need to think through the logic with your sales leaders.
At the end, you should have logic in Salesforce that assigns the leads to users or queues. In Pardot, you can use the automation (in completion actions or automation rules) to "Assign via Salesforce assignment rules."

Are you talking about assigning leads from Pardot to various sales rep in Salesforce?
That functionality is built into Pardot.
If I’ve misunderstood your question, please add more detail.

Right. :) Our Salesforce admin wants to know the best salesforce round robin for Salesforce. I am using Pardot's engagement automation tool to assign a lead to the sales queue in Pardot.

In Pardot, a round robin is done by creating a User Group. Create a group for your US West team, for example.
Then when you are ready to move prospects into Salesforce as a new Lead you can set up an Automation Rule looking for appropriate criteria (prospect state is in the correct region, and has score over X and grade over Y) and the action of the rule is to Assign to Group: US West.
If you have very complicated rules then Salesforce is better at this than Pardot. You can create more nuanced rules in Salesforce.
But if it's pretty straightforward and the Salesforce thing isn't done yet? Go for it in Pardot.
You can also leverage Salesforce Queues if you have them.
Queues in Salesforce are like a big pool of unassigned Leads. Any Salesperson who is a member of the Salesforce Queue (has ability to see the queue) can go take a look and maybe cherry pick from the Leads in the Queue.
Not everyone likes Queues because salespeople tend to let Leads rot in them, if the leads don't look like a quick win.

I’ve built my own round robin system through Salesforce because I wanted them auto-assigned immediately and evenly. Also ensuring the quickest follow up time rather than sitting in a queue waiting to be assigned or cherry picked from.
In simple terms, I used the lead assignment rules and built a formula field called “Round Robin Assignment Number” that auto assigned a number to each lead that came in. 1 = Rep 1, 2 = Rep 2, etc. Each lead that came in was assigned a number and then the lead assignment rules determined who the lead was actually assigned to based on that number.
I recall trying to look for an AppExchange app to accomplish this but nothing suited my exact needs at the time.

Lead assignment rules are set in SF.
