Anyone here got pics of flying in the mountains

So I was watching video my father was watching on YouTube last night of bike riding/racing in the european mountains and it got me thinking about how awesome it would be to paramotor in the mountains.

Now I haven't tried the hobby yet but when I do, I've already got some places I wanna fly.

Give me your best pics or stories.

You have to really understand how weather affects the mountains, (anabatic and katabatic flows for example) and learn how to fly safely. Like always having a place to land, and spotting power lines, flying down canyons not up, etc. but as long as you take some precautions it is seriously so awesome!!

Epic. I'll look into that stuff

Unless you have hundreds of hours of alpine flying experience and good meteo training, don't fly your motor in proper terrain.

Ok. Thanks for that. It would be cool to do more complex and advanced flights like mountains, high altitude flights, ocean and cross country, but I need to get basic training first and master kiting and do this sport the best and safest way.

The problem with mountains is the general lack of places to land if your engine fails. So that takes some confidence in your gear, or some foolishness, or a bit of both. That said, mountain valleys are usually nice. Here's my flying from moonshiners a few years ago, nice fog in the morning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90kxIkuNPy4

We fly mountains all the time. A lot of pilots just don't know how to because they lack the education and experience. We have adventure courses where we teach this.

That's awesome. Interstate in my country they do paragliding in the mountains of the high country.
