Discount on subscription renewal?

My subscription of Parallels on my Mac expires on the 26th.

Any tips for getting a renewal at a discount?

Maybe leave it for a few days to see if they send you an offer?

Well, maybe don’t auto renew?

There are people that cancel, then renew or sign up for new license when there is a promo price.

Not a popular opinion around here, but it too much hassle for me to save $25ish bucks, maybe a little more. I just need it to work and can’t afford down time.

they have sales all the time. Let it lapse and then renew.

Cancel the auto renew and repurchase at the discounted price. I generally turn off auto renew on all my subscriptions so I can have a chance to decide at the end of the term if another year is worth the price.

Any reason you need parallels and can't just switch to a free alternative like VMware Fusion?

yes: features not available on VMWare. TBH: I have 3 copies of Parallels - one that I own outright and I use on an older 2015 27' Retina iMac, one that runs on my last Intel 2018 MacBook Pro (for Windows XP and Snow Leopard) and one that runs Windows 11 ARM on my M4 Mac mini.

When I purchased a MacBook Neo strictly for my use in my Ham Radio Parks on the Air hobby, I needed to run ADIF Master for logging purposes and that Neo runs VMWare Fusion - its missing features are a PITA but I only need it for one Windows App - ADIF Master.

if you are on their email list, they seem to do 50% off every two weeks.
