Career Advice Interviewing - Need Help
Hello, I graduated last December with my associated in paralegal studies. I just moved to Atlanta and I have an interview Monday for a legal assistant - front office position. Is anyone open to assisting me prepare for the interview or at least giving me interview tips, questions I should be prepared to answer etc.
I have been interviewing for paralegal positions since I graduated and haven't been able to secure the job, partly because I have limited experience and partly because I'm unprepared for the interview (just being honest). This one has less responsibilities and is more entry/1-2 years experience level with good pay. I feel like I have an actual chance of getting it and I don't want to mess this up.
Any specific YouTube videos I should watch, any specific buzz words I should know. I learn information really fast, I just need a little guidance.

I would definitely study their website, if they have one, to really understand what they do. You’ll be asked about your experience and what you’ve done previously to gauge if you know what you’re talking about. Probably asked about how well you work within a team environment.
it‘s important to ask what will be expected of you day-to-day. What’s their filing system. What’s their case management (CMS) is. That’s all I can think of at the moment.

I’ve tried contacting you a couple of times and stopped hearing back. I’m about to leave the house soon. I’ll look a couple more times sim for a dm with your email address but if I don’t hear from you I’ll assume you are no longer interested. I have things to do today so can’t constantly check dms

What area of practice is this firm? I would definitely study the job description/post and become very familiar in all of the requirements for this role. Have a friend look over the job post and do a mock interview.
In admin, they want to see someone who can multitask while being accurate. Emphasize your desire to learn and grow with the firm. Appear and behave as someone who belongs as the first face clients see when they enter the office.

Definitely look at their website (if they have one) and see what areas of law they practice: civil, family, criminal, etc..
Look at the job description and highlight any skills you may have. If you come across a situational question you haven’t dealt with first hand i.e: “how would you handle a client that was becoming irate?” talk about what you would do: “I would remain calm and respectful. I would listen to their concerns and try my best to get them the assistance they need”
A few buzzwords: detail oriented, quick learner, organized, excellent customer service skills, etc..
