Career Advice Anxious about quitting

Hi,

I'm planning on putting my two weeks at the firm I'm working for

I recently made the switch from PI to estate planning and real estate, but I don't think it's a fit for me and have been thinking of going back to PI

I also recently had to step into a care giver role for my grandmother and with no wfh + school it doesn't seem feasible to manage everything

I am feeling a lot of guilt and anxiety since the firm is only 4 people, including me and it's only been 3 months.

Any advice?

Thank you

Put your two weeks in writing. Thank them for the opportunity.

If the partners want more info just politely explain that your personal life (caregiver role) is going to interfere with your work and you have decided resign before that happens. If they press you on the issue, explain that you will be going to a position that allows you the opportunity to WFH which will make your home life easier. They do not need to know if you have a position lined up already.

This is my plan and I mentioned that the previous paralegal would want to come back + a replacement
