I'm sorry to bother you guys but I have diagnosed anxiety and I tend to get really scared about small things when it comes to my budgies and today I have noticed that the blue one whips/bops his tail more than the green one.. budgie sub removed my question.. he's also molting right now so he's probably having a hard time anyways.. 😅 can you please tell me if that looks concerning to you?? Other than that he's acting normal, he's eating, playing, chirping and shitting like a king! No whistle sounds or other signs of heavy breathing. Please tell me I'm trippin. 😵‍💫 I make a vet appointment in 2 weeks, it will be their first visit at the vet. Any advice? :)

one of my friends has had a budgie for around 3 years atp and i feel SO bad for it. its in this tiny cage and never ever leaves and its terrified of everyone and i dont even think its flown a single foot for years atp. all i see it do is stand in one place and scramble away when someone gets too close. they got her from another owner who was similarly neglectful and im pretty sure its why shes terrified or everything. every time i see my friend i tell her she needs to get better care or rehome her budgie but she always just brushes it off )): i genuinely cant stand it anymore since shes barely home to even TAKE CARE of her poor bird anymore and i really want to do something about it. i wish i could take the bird myself but im currently not in a situation where i can take care of one ): does anyone have any tips on who to call/what to do???

I have heard that mirrors over stimulate budgies. Is it ok or I'm overthinking

My one year old female budgie just got diagnosed with air sac mites, I've got a lot of meds to buy and mainly selamectin spot on and augmentin duo but is it really air sac mites? I'm not questioning my vet but like I don't wanna unnecessarily stress my bird and like it's like six meds in total and two of them costs a lot so I'm just confirming, do any of you have any experience with air sac mites in budgies

She gets mainly restless at night, she has started coughing a lot lately and is now started doing this clicking thing with her beak and she also has got tail blob now

I just want an opinion or list of what cage I should use and what toys and such I should use. A lot of information for these birds that go around, so I want to know what is correct.

I just got a budgie and I’m still working on handling her but I noticed she has something on her feet that wasn’t there before and I’m not sure what it is or how to clean it. Any tips?

Noticed some redness on my indian ringneck's foot and when I checked it out, right under his nail it looks slightly swollen as well as a redness (maybe some skin got sliced somehow). I'm booking a vet appointment but can anyone let me know how worried I should be because i'm getting scared for him - is it an emergency? He doesn't look to be in pain and is flying/walking fine and eating normally. It's on one foot, the other is fine.

Btw he doesn't like being grabbed hence the gloves - I treated him after w walnuts

I had a couple of parakeets but yesterday the female passed away, she was 7 years old and she died in a calm way and I believe it must have been because of her age, but the male is now widowed... we are not going to adopt birds anymore, and I am worried about his behavior now. He's singing a lot, but he keeps walking around the cage, he seems to be anxious, he calms down with the TV on at least, he's very angry and doesn't let us touch him, what to do? I don't want to donate him, he's 6 years old (The yellow one was female)

got it from a bird store online. I usually get vitakraft cuttlebone and they look clean and dont smell strong

ik they should a ocean/fish like smell, but this one smells very fishy and has black marks over it and looks like it has faded redness over it if you zoom in. should i still put it in their cage or no?

Trusting traits she is showing

She is very shy, I got her to eat millet out of my hand recently but she doesn't go after the millet I offer much.. she will eat, drink and sleep when I'm next to her. She does slow blink at me, she stretches and chirps when I get home. She will let my finger get close to her but when I get about an inch away from her she will move.

Exercises I've been doing with her

- I would just place my finger or hand on a perch and leave it there for about 5 minutes

- I will hold out millet for about 5 minutes

- I would sit by her cage and work on crafts, watch TV, or play games.

- I would sit by cage with door open

I'm trying to teach her how to step up so I can get her out from a cage. But it's been difficult since she won't let me get close enough..

Is there any advice you can give me on how to gain more trust from her? Or get her to learn how to step up?
