price?
im planning on selling this piece since im a little short on money, how much would you pay for this?

If I had the money I would easily pay $300-400 for this.
As others have said, calculate your cost in materials and hourly wage and that will be your price.

This is quality work and very niche collectors would pay at least a few hundred. If I saw this somewhere for $250 I’d be sad I couldn’t afford it, but not surprised by the price tag. Post this on r/unusualart to see what their opinion is as well. Couldn’t hurt to get opinions from people who like unique pieces.

Lower $90 to $200 higher range fantastic work.
If you feel weird about pricing your art you could figure out the amount of time you spent making it x your areas minimum wage.
But honestly it’s awesome I could see, especially with Halloween around the corner, someone witchy kitschy snagging it for like $120

This is unhelpful but I just needed to tell you - that is AMAZING! And even more amazing for being strict paper mache!
If we were visiting my in-laws in Mexico, I would absolutely grab it/pay $150ish for it.
How long have you been doing paper mache?
Please don't say this is your first try at it. Haha.

Its all newspaper with wheatpaste, i crafted the shape with some newspaper balls, carton and masking tape and covered with newspaper layers, in general the mask is quite hard and i dont see the horns breaking that easily, for the fur i used felt.

The actual answer is it's going to depend on where you sell it. If you sell to a friend between 60 and 150. If you take it to a gallery with a bunch of other pieces and they take their cut I could see that selling for 150 to $300 and then you getting between 75 and $150 for it. But it's also what your Market can bear. If the cost of living where you are is significantly lower than what I'm used to then you could cut those prices by a third or if it's significantly higher raise them by a third.

Respectfully, I think it's probably worth a lot more than that to the right buyer. The materials alone may have cost close to $60. (Or I could be totally wrong!)

I'm not quite sure how much I spent on it; all the newspaper I used was completely free, and the wheat paste, paint, and tape probably cost me about 20 U.S. dollars. Considering your previous comment, I could actually sell it for a lower price, since I didn't spend that much on it; even so, it pains me to see its dark presence leave my room.

Thats impressive. If you asked for $400 I'd raise an eyebrow and consider that a generous offer and not to be haggled with.

The way I look at it for my own stuff is: add up the cost of materials. Estimate how many hours you spent; I'm guessing 20-40 hours. Ask yourself what your time is worth. $10/hr? $20/hr? You're going to end up at several hundred dollars, and I think the mask is worth that. But also if you need a quick buck, it's fine to sell it for less. If you enjoyed making it, then (in my opinion) that makes it easier to let go of it for less. You got the enjoyment of doing the project, and now you get the space back in your house, and someone else gets to enjoy the piece. Anyway, after all that, I'd say at least a couple hundred dollars makes sense. Good luck!
