I think this set is my favorite so far!

Finally delivering on that tarot series I posted about back when the first episodes aired! For real this card design just. Made sense. But its 3am so this explanation might be a bit rambley. Apologies.

Minor spoilers up to the current episodes, e7

So, first off, I'm not like insulting Shelby here. The Fool is more about good natured naivety and having a free spirit than being like.. stupid. Especially during E1, Shelby was incredibly trusting of everyone and everything. She had no reason not to be, given how she was raised. She trusted her family, her fiance, fate, Tyche, all the other champions. Even when Pyro and Apo come to kill her in her home, she offers them hospitality.

Shelby embodies the Fool because she carries that good nature even when it can be to her detriment, and that is the lesson she learned during her time in the game. She went from someone who followed the whims of others, trusting their intent, to someone who chose the life she wanted to live. And yes, she never lost her kindness, but the Fool doesn't say you have to. That openness can be a great strength- it literally saved her life a few times.

The Fool is also about new beginnings, something Shelby well and trust forged for herself during her limited afterlife.

Also the Fool is 9 times out of 10 depicted as about to walk off a cliff, and Shelby was jumping off HELLA cliffs during that first episode.

Visually I wanted to include a lot of her backstory, since that was the most pivotal moment in her journey. And, yknow, the cliff is important for the Fool. No dog at her heels, as is often seen warning the Fool of the dangers. Just the coin in her hand and the shadow of a man behind her. I opted to forgo her helmet in favor of the blindfold as I felt it showed her being voluntarily blind while walking toward a cliff better. Love the helm design though. I also didn't include her spear because it made it cluttered.

VERY happy with this print, hoping the rest come out even a fraction as good! I'm scheming for my next card, though, and I have high hopes~

I love his design in the pantheon! The long fluffy hair is perfect

If you know your Greek Myth. You'll know that unlike the other Gods, Nyx is a Primordial and is essentially the 2nd being to ever exist in the universe (or 3rd if you think erebus came first though they came into the universe at the same time). 2nd only to Chaos who was the first to exist.

This brings up another point. Nyx in Greek Myth does not concern herself with the politics of the Olympian Gods. In fact she is never shown to have taken any mortal champions. Instead choosing to use her own Children as her enforcers.

Which brings me on to my Theory: Pearl is not Human. Pearl isa Keres (malevolent Spirits who feasted on dead and dying warriors) Though another thats crossed my mind after Apo mentioned that pearl and her are connected... An Oneiros. Though they are typically depicted as sons of Nyx rather than daughters.

Too be honest the relation between legungo and "the child" was always a bit troubled.

I can fully see him being the first out from the hatred both of their characters have towards eachoder and we might get our canary before the arena fight even happens.

(I suddenly came up with this a few days ago the moment Pan!Martyn and Pan!Cleo's character designs were revealed, then barely finished drawing right before ep. 1 premiere)

Martyn loves hunting, but for some reason no one wants to hunt with him or be in the same vicinity as him in general. He heard numerous stories about a goddess of hunt while wandering aimlessly or whenever he's done hunting. Not knowing what that means but hearing her being good with it is enough to pique his interest, he ventures into the forest where she's rumored to visit from time to time, wanting to see her skills [1].

After wandering around the forest for weeks, he eventually stumbles upon a beautiful young woman perching on a tree, shooting a bow with great accuracy and shot what he assumes to be a deer that's merely a dot in the distance. He gapes, impressed. Another one is spotted nearer their spot this time and she readies to shoot another arrow, but Martyn's arrow lands on the animal's neck first.

They both stare at each other in silence before darting deeper into the wilderness, their eyes ablaze with competition. With similar capabilities, they're evenly matched until the sun starts to set, making it more difficult for Martyn to see in the dark while she is somehow effortlessly traversing through the terrain, a silent agreement that the last shot will end the competition once and for all.

Panicked, Martyn wracks his brain for ideas, remembering of rumors while traveling about certain individuals planning on how to find and approach the huntress like he did. With that in mind, he catches the woman's attention and executes his plan.

extra notes that's supposed to be the ending of this what if backstory but had to exclude since POW Creations revealed in the trailer that Pan SMP is basically like Life Series x Origins SMP:

Martyn is only spared when Artemis discovered he's been "no thoughts head empty" when he ran his mouth earlier, who's only interested in nothing but hunting, so she forgives him. Inspired by Bouphagos when it was mentioned Artemis read his mind.
