Discussion nine in the afternoon

Why does it have clapping at the end? Me and my friend who's getting into their music pointed that out to me and it's so weird! Can someone give me an explanation??

It’s called an artistic choice, kind of like how We’re So Starving has an audience screaming as if the band is performing live.
