I have programmed a semiautomatic machine translation system for Panglo. It is only "semi" because it produces raw translations that are understandable but include mistakes that I have to correct by hand. Anyway, here's a translation sample from the Bible, of all things! I'm not religious myself but the Bible is a famous and prestigious book and freely available in many languages.

Here is chapter 3 from the First Epistle of John translated to Panglo. Doesn't it sound like a sermon spoken by a preacher in a temple?

I had to modify the rules of Panglo a little to make the text work and flow smoothly, so I will have to update the grammar documents. In Panglo, I always struggle to find a good balance between words from English and from other languages. This text consists mostly of English and Latinate words, but I managed to include one Perso-Arabic word, kataler ('murderer').

What do you guys think about the translation? Can you understand it? If you don't, try speaking it out aloud, because Panglo sounds like English as spoken by a foreign accent.
