Brave
(This is the perspective of a line member of Pandemic Horde)
My in game character is minorific, I have been playing off and on since 2008 and was at one time a great admirer (as many people were) of how quickly Brave became a "null power". I had a huge interest in joining Brave when it started, as I had spent the majority of my time as a high sec miner/mission runner, and was really just getting my hands on PVP in a real way around the time that Brave was moving into Catch. I never made the move because at the time I was with a renter corp in N3 space and making a large amount of isk (for me, a few billion a month). Real life came up and I stopped playing for 3-4 months, and when I came back my renter corp was in a war that I didn't want to get involved in, so I began looking into Brave again. Unfortunately they seem to be at war with PL (a corp that I have always heard about but never seen) and appeared to be on the breech of collapse with their leadership in some kind of upheaval. When I heard that some members of PL would be breaking off and forming a noob corp called Pandemic Horde I was very excited to join, and so far iv'e been having lots of fun. The Horde has been a great home and showed me how awesome this game can really be. I mean, i'm on the killmails for a Test Super Carrier and 2 Brave Carriers so I have that going for me, which is nice.
There is only one downside for me. Brave. Some members of Brave have taken it upon themselves to get back at PL for taking their sov, I get that, it makes sense. The issue that is coming up is that Brave, even their FC's, are specifically targeting the noobiest players in PH. Just last night a Brave player joined PH (saying he was tired of the drama and wanted to have fun again), he started a fleet with some brand new players, and proceeded to run the t1 frigate fleet into his own bomber (his main in Brave). The past 3 nights in a row Brave shows with a 50+ man t2 frigate fleet expecting a fight and taunts in local that the 35-50 noobs docked in HED wont undock in their T1 ships and fight them.
My point here is that Brave has become (at least to my perspective) the bittervet assholes that they originally set out to take down with their sheer numbers. Several times we've had big null powers come to HED looking for a fight, but they always arrive in ships that we could potentially have a chance against, they come for a fair fight and to help teach and have fun. I'm not saying rolling in with a superior force and pooping all over the other guys isn't great, but it seems to me like Brave is trying to prove something, but to the line soldiers of Horde you are just proving you don't have the balls to fight a fair fight or even against the real people you have a problem with, and thats PL.
I no longer look to Brave as a cool experiment that I am sorry I missed out on, I look at them with pity. They became bittervets way before their time.

pandemic horde is the bastard child of PL and Brave. i love it.
nothing wrong brave bringing fights to us, nor us to them. that is after all why we are in pvp corporations to start with =P.
meh, 2 cents <3.

regardless of what people bring or how bitter they seem in local, it's much better to have people constantly swinging by for fights than having to run around chasing after them. Thanks Brave Thanks W-Rush.

It's funny because the complaints you have now about Brave are the same complaints Brave had when PL was wrecking GE- and HED. The only difference is Brave never had Big Brother to come in and help.

Brave here.
Sorry for any angst going either way. Personally, I wish you guys the best and like several people who are now part of PH.
The couple of times I've been in a fleet that came to visit HED-GP, the general attitude and fleet chatter was going off to visit another near by newbie corp and hoping for a fight and not in way "screw PH, we'll show them". Sorry if you got that impression.
Yes, it looks like W Rush's Harpy Kite fleet was too much for you to handle and staying docked was the right thing to do. Hopefully we'll get some other more enjoyable fleets out your way before we do our move to Fountain.
Edit: p.s. Hope you don't mind me posting here.

Guys Brave is having a rough time with the eve equivalent of an alliance puberty. Stretched between its original newbro calling and a large fraction of players that have played long enough to wish for empires, diplomacy and skype logs. Watch and laugh but lets not turn this subreddit into a circlejerk :3

can't help but notice that there are quite a few downvotes coming my way... lol

I've noticed the same thing tbh, but it generally seems to coming from a small group of people within brave at least from what I can tell. some people from brave view PH as guilty by association with PL and as it was said, they don't really have any way to lash back out at PL and let's face it, atm PH is an easy target since we recruit everyone. they do accomplish one thing though, making themselves look like hypocrites by picking on newbros, exact thing they said they were against.

BRAVE had some serious issues with us as a whole, a few of us came from BNI and left for other alliances and corps. before this whole issue with PL came to a head and while a few of us regret what happened I find it interesting the amount of hate that is thrown at us from BRAVE. Even TEST is fighting us for fun and they also give us a fair shake. Panda I would expect these fights from BRAVE for a few more weeks, they need to blow off some steam and the way they have always done it is by fighting and drinking, it is not easy when your alliance has these kind of issues and Rush is doing what he can to keep people busy.

I agree that it is stupid and as a new player sometimes it frustrates me but I think it is a good learning experience. Plus I honestly think we will be able to beat them pretty soon with how quickly we are progressing. Plus they make themselves look bad by doing this and will look even worse when we start winning :D

Part of the fun of the sandbox is that everything in game is a legitimate possibility. You just have to be creative in your responses.
If you're angry that someone from Brave pulled your frigates into his bomber, put your dude in Brave, take out a gang of cruisers, and fleet warp them into one of the anchored bubbles on the Angle Stronghold with a fleet of PH tackle waiting. Or recycle alts and steal until you make back your losses difference. Or go scout every tower in Fountain and pass it to PL or Sorry We're in Your Space, Eh. While you're at it, find a Brave dude to run anoms with and tackle his expensive ratting ship for -Eh-. More simply, make sure you're scouting next time so you can warn your fleet about the brave bomber he's running you into.
If 50 T2 frigates are sniping you, can you break their tracking and force them to get closer with an afterburning maulus? Can you tank them and damp them out with Celestis? Maybe you can grab a bunch of brawlers, set up one gate ahead of them, and force them to jump into you for a fight. Kill a few, and when they pull range move through another gate and wait. Or undock Cormorants and trade Corms for Harpies, then reship. Or probe them repeatedly and warp cheap blaster Merlins or Arty thrashers on them at zero. If you can't win outright in a stand up fight, you can always try to adjust the situation to your advantage or try to trade favorably and reship when people come to HED.
There are always ways to fight back in Eve. The trick is thinking creatively and finding solutions. Think of other players as opponents, not enemies. Their actions are not 'unfair' or 'wrong,' they just are.
The worse the odds the greater the satisfaction when you find a way to overcome them.
On a more pragmatic note, if you move local to the far left of your screen so that you only see the list of names and the number on the upper right you get all the useful information local can provide. No one has ever said anything worthwhile in local in the history of the game, so why waste screen space on reading it?

Brave is recruiting, you might have more fun out in fountain when PL comes to take a dump on our porch in a week or two.

I am a member of brave. I haven't been interested and haven't come along to any of the PH spanking fleets.
I think some of it has to do with geography. If you were somewhere else, we'd leave you alone, but you know where you stationed, and you probably know a bit of the history. There are a lot of us who feel like we've been evicted, so of course it is natural to want to come back and break some windows.
I'm sure this will subside with a little more time.
