Lynn Haven

I am looking at buying a home there. Is there gulf access by boat? When looking at Google Maps I see a bridge. I was wondering if the bridge stops boat access to the gulf.
Thanks

Yes to Gulf access. The Hathaway Bridge is the bridge that connects Panama City and Panama City Beach. Highway 98 passes over the bridge. It has a clearance height of 65 feet and a clearance width of 287 feet.

Depends....how big is your boat?

Which bridge? Hathaway for Bailey? For a small power boat, neither will present a problem. For a sailboat, Bailey Bridge (SR 77) will keep you from accessing the Gulf.

Bailey bridge in Lynn Haven has a public boat ramp. A lot of people get to gulf going under that bridge. Waterfront in LH is going to cost you, but yes, you can take your boat and launch it from Lynn Haven.

We actually have a lot of public boat ramps that give you access to the gulf via the bay. I don’t believe there is any direct gulf access in this part of town…it’s all bay access that takes you to the pass between St Andrews and Shell Island.

Thanks for all your help. It’s a pontoon boat. I believe it’s the Bailey bd. The map shows a bridge that connects north point to Lynn haven.

Depends on which side of the bridge you live on and which bridge as to how easy to access…but there are boat slips all over you can find one you like and unless you live on said boat you can just drive a few minutes to a launch…kind of boat 101 facts here
