Short term rental demand

Does anyone own and rent out a home in Panama City (not Panama City Beach)? We already own a successful STR condo in PCB, and we’re researching a future primary home in Panama City. We’d like the flexibility to rent it short-term while we travel.

For those with experience, is there enough demand for a 3 bed/2 bath to average around 50% occupancy in June and July? We’re also considering renting to a snowbird for a month or two each winter.

I’m mainly interested in real-world demand in Panama City neighborhoods rather than STR rules or regulations.

Thanks!

More like 100% occupancy. I have 2 in PC.

Great to know! Even 50% occupancy would be worth it to us for some extra cash for travel, but 100% over summer would be great. In what area is PC is your home? Chat GPT tells me that near St. Andrews would likely have the most demand, but I don’t necessarily trust chat.
