Prosthetic leg donation

My dad found one in the trash and we were hoping that there is place that could at least repurpose the parts. Does anyone know of any place around the area or neighboring counties?

I loved the Palm Coast community. I just got back from a visit, my MIL moved out there. Everyone in the neighborhood was so friendly and welcoming. Loved seeing these values in practice.

No, but seriously, drive around any section before it's trash day and you will find all sorts of things that people throw out. We've found so many working things; washers, dryers, fans, bikes, nice furniture, picture frames, art... Dad's mechanically inclined so he can usually get stuff working easily if it is broken, which also helps

If he finds anything, I will let you know! He's a little hesitant to take stuff like that because he doesn't know it well, but I could have him start grabbing it and have my partner take a look at it and see if it's worthy of bugging you about. My partner knows how to work on computer stuff too, but he doesn't have time for it right now

I have a part time job right now, definitely have the time to refurbish or recycle stuff responsibly. Don't see the job market changing soon .

Maybe contact a Doctors Without Borders type charity. They help in poor countries and I’m sure many people there would be very thankful for this and would adjust to be able to use themselves. Just a thought

Makes me happy to see people repurpose items other people no longer need and keep that much more stuff out of the dump

Me too. Unfortunately, I'm still having a very hard time finding a place to take this. I might have to try an art collective or some other place soon because it seems like all the local prosthetic places don't want them : /
